Celebrate it♥️ Have you ever reached a goal and thought, “What’s next?” without taking a second to celebrate? I used to do that all the time racing from one challenge to the next, Overlooking the progress I had made. But I have come to realize that celebrating our wins, big or small, is so important. Sometimes, we get so caught up in “working hard” that we forget to appreciate how far we’ve come. That quick moment of recognition isn’t just a nice pause; it keeps us connected to our journey. Here are a few everyday wins that are worth celebrating: 🎯Completing a challenging project ahead of schedule. 🎯Learning a new skill or taking up a hobby that pushed you out of your comfort zone 🎯Sticking with a goal on a tough day—it could be exercising, journaling, or making time for self-care 🎯Getting through a stressful week: Even if it was not perfect, you did it. That’s worth acknowledging🙌 🎯Taking a step toward a long-term goal: Even a small action, like saving a little or making progress on a project, is a win that moves you forward. I have found that this small shift in perspective has made me more aware of my own journey and given me the energy to keep going. So, here’s to celebrating those small victories that so often go unnoticed✨

For those that need it, here's a picture of the sunrise this morning 🙂 . So, Wednesday 2nd October was a milestone for me. It was my 40th birthday 🎉 I can’t say that I was thrilled at the thought of this milestone coming my way, but it made me reflect nonetheless and I thought I’d share: 1) 💡 Don’t underestimate the power of now: The present moment is what matters. Apart from having a great time with friends and family, I appreciated the company and the various faces that have been in some way part of my life. 2) 💡 Surround yourself with good people who are in your corner: Appreciate those that will celebrate with you when you do well and look out for you when you aren’t; those are the people who want to see you win. You’ll soon filter through the ones who are trapped in their own ego’s and don’t want to see you do well. 3) 💡 Be in the corner of others: No one is "self-made", people and community matter as much in life as they do in business. So find someone who needs you to be in your corner for them and celebrate them and their successes like its your own (purely because you care and not because you might need them to return a favour or two).

When was the last time you took a moment to celebrate yourself? This year, I challenge you to make self-reflection a regular habit and honor all the incredible things you do. Start with these 3 questions at the end of each week: 👉 What did you accomplish? Celebrate both the big wins and the small victories—they all count. 👉 What challenges did you overcome? Every hurdle you face helps you grow. Acknowledge and be grateful for that progress. 👉 What did you learn? Each lesson, no matter how small, adds value to your journey and success. I’d love to hear your response to one (or all) of these questions in the comments below. Let’s take a moment to celebrate YOU ❤️

*Redefining Awards: From Hesitation to Celebration* There was a time when receiving awards made me hesitant. Sharing them felt like self-promotion, as if I were seeking validation. I would downplay them, thinking, *"Do I really need to showcase this?"* But with time, age, and experience, my perspective has evolved. I now see awards for what they truly represent: not individual glory, but a celebration of collective effort. They honor the artisans whose hands bring my ideas to life, the heritage of Dhokra craft that we work so hard to preserve, and the team that makes it all possible. Awards are more than recognition—they’re a way to inspire others and amplify the work being done. By sharing these milestones, I’m not saying, *"Look at what I’ve achieved."* I’m saying, *"Look at what’s possible."* Today, I accept awards with pride—not for myself alone, but for the community and craft that they represent. And yes, I share them, unapologetically. It’s a ripple worth creating.

✨ Celebrating Excellence... or Perception? ✨ Awards are always a highlight in our industry - a time to recognise innovation, hard work, and dedication to raising the bar. 🏆 But it also sparks an important reflection: Are we celebrating the real stories of achievement or the most polished narratives? In an industry where trust, integrity, and accuracy are critical, it’s vital to ensure that recognition aligns with authentic representation. Missteps or misrepresentations, however unintentional, risk undermining the incredible work many of us pour our hearts into daily. Perhaps it's time for all of us—whether as nominees, award-givers, or industry professionals—to ask the deeper question: Are we rewarding what looks good or what truly is good? 🌟 Kudos to those who keep pushing the standards higher, not just for their organizations but for the industry as a whole. Let’s continue striving for recognition built on a foundation of genuine accomplishment. What are your thoughts on how we maintain integrity in celebrating excellence? Let’s discuss below! 👇

Have you ever so focused on the one project that isn’t going well? It feels like a mountain, right? Alongside, you have other small projects thriving, clients praising your work, and a growing network of supporters. But you are still not making a step. I have learned that It’s easy to get caught up in what’s not working. How instresting it would get if we shift our focus. Instead of dwelling on the challenges, let’s celebrate our wins for the year, no matter how small. Every step forward, every lesson learned, every positive interaction, these are the building blocks of success. When we recongnize and appreciate our achievements, we fuel our motivation and propel ourselves towards our goals. Let's refocus together. What are you celebrating this year? It’s That Time of the Year… As the year winds down, many are busy evaluating their achievements, creating vision boards, and setting new milestones. And then there’s you, sitting there, thinking the year passed with nothing to show for it. Wait! Stop right there. Too often, we downplay our achievements or dwell on what didn’t go as planned. But here’s the truth: every step forward no matter how small is a victory worth celebrating. Did you try something new? Did you keep going despite the challenges? Did you grow in ways you never expected? Guess what? Those are all wins. And as for the moments you think you’ve failed? You didn’t. What you gained was experience, resilience, and a clearer path forward. Learn to celebrate your wins and not bury your head in shame when you think you’ve failed because you actually never did fail. What’s one win you’d like to celebrate today? Let’s hear it! 🌟

You may have a seen a post I shared a few weeks ago receiving an award and wondering why it took me a year to celebrate that win publicly (this photo is from that same event). Upon reflection, I've realized that my hesitance to celebrate is part of a larger pattern. I have never stopped to really celebrate my wins. I am guilty of constantly moving on to the next thing dismissing past achievements as if they were mere steps on an endless escalator. The win, once it's in the rearview mirror, somehow loses its sheen because it's "in the past." I cannot be the only one who is like this. Am I? Help me out here. But I am coming to understand that celebrating our achievements isn't about living in the past; it's about recognizing the journey and the growth that comes with each milestone. Many of us, myself included, are wired to look forward, to chase the horizon. There's always a new goal, a new challenge. And while that drive is valuable, it's equally important to pause, look back, and honour how far we've come. Our wins, big or small, are not just trophies to collect but reminders of our resilience, hard work, and the support we've had along the way. Even in writing this I know I will still find it challenging to do, so, I'm making a commitment to not only chase the future but to also honour the present and respect the past. I endeavour to celebrate my wins, to savour the moments of success, and to appreciate the journey because the future is never guaranteed. Will you join me in this practice if you have battled this same malady?

Medals don’t matter much in the grand scheme of things. Trophies gather dust, certificates lose their shine, and yet, many invest their energy solely in chasing accolades. Why? The truth is, unless your work is driven by passion and a vision for the future, awards lack lasting significance—they’re merely symbols. That said, awards have their place if they genuinely align with your goals. But even if you don’t win, trust that what you’re meant for will come to you in its own time. True impact lies in creating something meaningful and enduring. Here’s what I’ve come to understand: Work for the love of the craft. Strive for excellence, not external validation. Build with the future in mind, not just for applause. When you do this, recognition will follow naturally—not as a goal, but as a consequence of your dedication.#dedication #workhard #consistency

As the year ends, pause.💜 Not to think about what didn’t happen or what’s still ahead... But to honor what did. Every goal you worked toward, Every challenge you faced, Every small win along the way... it all matters. Maybe you learned to rest. Maybe you kept going when it was hard. Maybe you found joy in something simple. Whatever your wins look like, celebrate them. Let yourself feel proud. This isn’t just about checking boxes. It’s about recognizing how far you’ve come. It’s about giving yourself credit for showing up, For trying, For growing. When you celebrate your wins, you remind yourself: You are capable. You are resilient. You are enough. So tonight, as the clock strikes twelve, Celebrate you. Not just for what you’ve achieved, But for the person you’re becoming. Here’s to your journey. Here’s to your wins. Here’s to a new year filled with even more to celebrate. 💛 Happy New Year! 🥂
