Solar Analemma You see the solar analemma, a figure-eight-shaped diagram that shows the sun's position in the sky at the same time of day throughout the year. It is created by plotting the sun's position simultaneously each day, typically at solar noon. The analemma results from the combined effects of the tilt of the Earth's axis and its elliptical orbit around the sun. The upper loop of the analemma represents the sun's position when the Earth is closest to the sun (perihelion). At the same time, the lower loop represents the sun's position when the Earth is farthest from the sun (aphelion). Can we tap atmospheric energy or can the graviton be used to generate energy? Atmospheric Energy is very random and is very difficult to tap except in case of wind.Density variation also makes it uneconomical.The problem is as tough as storing of radiowaves in the atmosphere. But below the mantle and the crust , the possibility of using bismuth conductance with complex diamagnetics including radio elements to get it to the surface, there is a massive potential to tap energy here without drilling as low.A deeper geological study is needed for this purpose and this is just a possibility as of the moment. THIS COMPANY SELLS SUNLIGHT ☀ This video from a company called Reflect Orbital simulates an idea the company plans to implement. The technology mentioned in the video is real and this startup plans to launch 57 satellites in the near future. However, the light shown in this video was simulated by the CEO of the company and shared on account X to highlight the idea. Reflect Orbital tested the same in a hot air balloon 3 km above a solar farm. Weather Innovation, Smart Energy, and Resilience (WISER) is an NSF Industry-University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC). 🌪️🌍 In the U.S., damaging wind events like derechos, microbursts, and tornadoes cause significant loss of lives and property, including disruptions to power grids. With the rise of renewable energy, better forecasting is crucial. Current mesoscale meteorological models (MMMs) often lack accuracy due to computational limitations. Advancements in deep learning (DL) techniques, such as Fourier neural operators and vision transformers, offer a chance to develop faster, more accurate Next-Gen MMMs. Our project aims to create DeepExWind, a DL-based model for reliable 3-hour wind forecasts on a basic workstation.
