Will the Fed need to lower rates because of the real interest? 10 year real rate has not been this high since 2007. Of course lots of other factors but interesting chart. Attached is link to article in the WSJ. https://lnkd.in/ehmzdE5w

Markets now see no chance of the Fed holding rates at the September meeting, and are instead debating whether there will be one or two rate cuts.

The Fed continues to discuss rate cuts in 2024, but so far has remained "paused". Historically, the market reacts kindly to rate pauses. #governmentemployee #FederalGovernment #FederalEmployees #capitalfinancialplanners #retfed #marketrates

Fed rate advice. I agree with what he says and said the same things. The Fed should not move in July and it should not move in September. When you make mistakes in the past ( waiting too long to raise rates) It causes you to make mistakes going forward. You cant have a panic-fed making decisions to then have to reverse again based on guesses ( which is why I said hold) The Federal Reserve's job is to worry about inflation and the economy, not move rates to counter market moves or stock market moves, positive or negative- based on data. If the Fed does an emergency cut you could enforce the recession idea and make it worse. **We are going into a recession, if you like it or not people took too long to pay attention. Lower-income families and small businesses are under extreme pressure due to inflation and went through high gas costs and high food costs. Pandemic savings has run out and credit cards maxed out. ( While some people want the markets to keep going UP UP UP, Inflation is completely out of control. People do not take into account all of the money that was injected into the system through stimulus programs for people and companies and the eviction moratorium rent money moving into the markets, instead of landlords through purchases) #stockmarket #inflation #hedgefunds #economy #stocks #investing #realestate #money #politics #sales #business #entreprenurs #entreprenurship #fed #rates https://lnkd.in/eiemNRvD

This week the FED is set to announce its most recent monetary policy decision. The big question being will we finally see our first drop in rates since 2020 or will they decide to keep them at their current level of 5.5%.
