We are proud to have participated once again in the #YouthLeadershipProgram driven by Cooperación Internacional - IYC in #India through our corporate volunteer initiative. This project provides children from one of the most underprivileged slums in #Mumbai with sports, academic activities, and community service opportunities aimed at improving their lives. A special thanks to Perico Herráiz for his words in this article for Go Aragón and to all our volunteers from Bergner Europe and Bergner India who took part in our corporate social activities. #Bergner #BeBergner #RefiningEverydayLife #LivingForOthers https://lnkd.in/d-A8g-Ud

NAIDOC Week offers a meaningful opportunity to celebrate and honour the traditional custodians of our beautiful country. The 2024 theme honours the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture – with fire a symbol of connection to Country, to each other, and to the rich tapestry of traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Simple acts like displaying the National NAIDOC poster or learning the traditional place names of our cities—such as Naarm (Melbourne), Meanjin (Brisbane), Warrane (Sydney), and Boorloo (Perth)—are great ways to show respect and engage with Indigenous cultures. One of the most impactful ways to acknowledge NAIDOC Week is by inviting Indigenous speakers, Elders, and representatives to your events. Their contributions can include Welcome to Country ceremonies, educational talks, comedy shows, or musical performances. These interactions allow us to learn about Indigenous communities' rich cultural practices, beliefs, and traditions, enhancing our relationship with the world around us. Why Have a First Nations Australian Speaker at Your Event? Centering voices with lived experience is crucial for any event focusing on Australia’s traditional custodians. Only Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people can perform a Welcome to Country, though anyone can perform an Acknowledgement of Country. Some of Australia’s most prominent figures in sport and other fields are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. These speakers provide unique perspectives on sport, diversity, and inclusion, making your event more inspiring, enriching and impactful. 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐮𝐩 As we celebrate the thrilling matches and remarkable talents showcased in the Euro Cup, it’s essential to remember the stories beyond the pitch. One such story is that of Lamine Yamal, a young talent whose journey to the Euro Cup reminds us of the pressing issue of child labor. Child labor remains a significant challenge globally, with millions of children deprived of their childhood, education, and opportunities. Yamal’s rise to fame is inspirational, but it also highlights the importance of safeguarding children’s rights and ensuring they have a future free from exploitation. Recently, the rumors about Germany trying to fine Spain for allowing just 16 years old Yamal to play has sparked a lot of discussion in the sports community. This underscores the importance of international accountability and collaboration in eradicating child labor. Let's celebrate Yamal's passion for football, recognizing that not all children have the same opportunities to pursue what they love. Every child deserves the chance to discover and nurture their interests, ensuring their happiness and growth. #ChildLabor #EuroCup #Yamal #CorporateResponsibility #EthicalBusiness #HumanRights #Euro2024

13.4.2024 - 23.5.2024 #Sport4HealthyLife” Project In the beginning, I would like to thank everyone who gave me this opportunity Elham R. Abbadi, Mamoun Khreisat, MBA, PMP, European Solidarity Corps, Desert Bloom Halil UĞUZ, and Mustafa Yeşil. “Sports4HealthyLife” project that I joined in Sorgun, Turkey, with the Sorgun Gençlik Derneği (SORGED) organization for 40 days. This unique experience involved a team from Jordan, Italy, and Turkey. #Project_Goals_and_Activities: The main objective of the project was to promote a healthy lifestyle through sports and community and educational activities. Weekly activities included playing volleyball, hiking, rafting, cycling, and providing an opportunity for recreation, team building, and communication among participants. The activities also included teaching English for children, which allowed us to interact with the younger generation and make valuable educational contributions. #Community_Engagement As part of the project, we visited local schools in Sorgun and spent time with students and staff members. These visits aimed to exchange cultures and knowledge and add a new dimension to our experience. We also visited some universities in Yozgat, enhancing cultural and intellectual exchange between the participants and the local community. #Activities_in_the_Park Many activities were organized in the park with the local community, helping to build bridges of communication and strengthen relationships with the residents. These activities were diverse and included group games, interactive workshops, and discussion sessions about the importance of sports and public health. #Success_and_Looking_Forward I can proudly say that this project was successful by all measures. We learned a lot from each other, made effective contributions to the local community, and enjoyed a rich and fruitful experience. Finally, I hope i have left a good impact, and I look forward to more opportunities that allow me to broaden my horizons and do the best. This video represents a part of the project activities. #teaching #Volunteering #Volleyball #Jordan #Turkey #Italy
