As we all send thoughts and prayers we do see the warnings were there since 2010 or before. It is not unusual for warnings to be ignored. But with the impact to taxpayers, and insurance agencies already pulling out of Florida we should see a robust increase in building regulations, zoning changes, and other measures to protect us from ourselves. "In 2010, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council drew up the Tampa Bay Catastrophic Plan, in which a hypothetical Category 5 storm dubbed “Hurricane Phoenix” hit downtown Tampa with 160 mph winds and a 26-foot storm surge. The study projected that the city would have about 2,000 deaths and nearly $250 billion in damage." #ClimateChange #Insurance #Regulation
