This episode sounds inspiring, Dan Ryan! Amy’s insights on mentorship and the power of creativity in hospitality really highlight the impact of connecting with others on a deeper level. It's great to see how bold career moves and storytelling can transform not just spaces, but the experiences that shape our lives. 🙂
I love the message that hospitality is in everything and isn't limited to a select few who learned it at a prestigious school. Its time for hospitality for the masses.
As a vegan (🌱), I can vouch that when there are options for me, it means A TON. Someone thought, considered, cared.
Amy’s focus on mentorship and storytelling really highlights the human side of hospitality—so inspiring! What advice did she give on fostering creativity while navigating the business side of hospitality projects?
Amy’s focus on creating memorable experiences really resonates. Storytelling and place-making are key to connecting with people through thoughtful, intentional spaces. Her blend of creativity and strategy is inspiring!
Totally agree - we need to connect with people. I believe that can't be done effectively behind a video call. Get face to face!
the mentorship piece so critical in all industries, glad to see its impact in this sector!
Career pivots take guts, but they're often where innovation happens. If you're going to continuously improve forever, you've gotta get a bit uncomfortable with the seat you're in every once in a while.
love it. Celebrating clients as part of hospitality, Hospitality is in everything we do. So a state of Being along with Doing, right Dan Ryan

2moInspiring, Dan Ryan. I very much like Amy's point about anticipating the needs of your guests (or friends or acquaintances) and taking even small steps to meet these. To me, it feels like "tangible caring" and has impact in ways that "free wifi" or something similar simply doesn't.
