Thanks Asia Toy and Play Association (ATPA) for the opportunity to join as a Guest speaker a week ago. It was a pleasure to share insights on Sustainable Packaging trends and innovations, and how Industry Associations play a crucial role in driving the positive momentum forward. For close to a decade, I've been involved in sustainable packaging material developments. Both on individual corporate project & [global] strategy level, and on cross-industry association level. Great initiatives always start with an individual or a team aiming to make positive impact. The greatest initiatives bring people together to drive scalability, and by understanding what solutions look like for other parties involved, also drive better solutions for their own challenges faced. No single company is ever big enough to solve the worlds problems. No company alone understands the diverse needs fundamental technologies have to address. But we start where we can make an initial positive impact. What we have understood at Budding Innovation is that for foundational and long-term solutions to gain traction, they need to be set in specifications and properties, yet address macro and micro trends, that encompass the requirements of as many as possible future users. We cannot separate business interests from technology opportunities, so the solution exists always in a balance.
