Yesterday, I had the opportunity to support a running clinic hosted by @soeverybodycanmove @autumnyoung1 @kaleigha_n. So EveryBody Can Move #SEBCM is a state by state initiative that aims to create reform within health insurance. Currently, running for an amputee is a luxury and not a medical necessity. Movement is medicine, both physically and mentally. We are comunial beings that thrive in a sense of community. Having a healthy and active community to help us push forward is something EveryBody should have access to. Access to these prosthetics costs upward of $5000 and substantially more for above knee amputees. Our goal is to create access to recreational prosthetics as a form of medical necessity and empower of disabled community to get moving!
