While these innovations boost our efficiency, they also demand that we keep pace with the changes affecting our businesses, clients, and platforms. AI is expected to dramatically transform our world. What we've accomplished in the last 20 years may be eclipsed by advancements in the next decade. Google is adding AI driven features to search results. Based on the technology Lens, which has been around for seven years (!), users will now be able to voice questions of images they see on their camera. The technology will also allow you to take video of moving objects and ask a question, and get search results. They are also featuring more links in the AI Overview results, and prominently displaying AI Overviews as the first set of search results. This despite the issues that publishers are seeing as traffic is reduced to news sites from the integration of AI Overviews. Links within Overviews are driving more traffic to highly specialized sites instead. Google clearly believes that they have solved the issues of glue on your pizza that caused the AI Overviews feature to be pulled down and revamped. Search will be impacted by AI no matter the hallucination and error rates from the current AI models. Guess you have to have something to show for the billions you are investing.
