Plain white sneakers v/s Statement heels : What’s more professional? It was almost 2pm, but the HR NEXUS 3.0 event was supposed to start by 1pm. Scared and anxious we were waiting for people to turn up and even went on thinking what if the Delhi People actually went out party early on Saturday, But Delhi people being fashionably late, did start pouring in on the Saturday afternoon, ditching last minute plans😇 HR NEXUS 3.0 one of a kind experience was the brainchild of FriendsSquare which was held on 4th May, with our motive to form a community for people in areas of Human Resource, Diversity & Inclusion, Organizational Psychologist to have meaningful conversation rather than just deciding ki “Isse baar Fun Friday mein kya Karna hai”. We started 4 months back with lots of ideas in mind but a single goal of having a networking event which really served its purpose. From team meetings to thinking on ideas in breakout rooms we compiled everything. Google documents, spreadsheet were best friends for 4 months with a rollercoaster of emotions. Inviting people to add them in our WhatsApp community groups to thinking about interactional activities that were informative yet engaging, we had a surprise stored for everyone who joined in🤗. The journey started with the theme ' ‘Beyond the Age Gap: Paving The Way For Multigenerational Teams’ which is the need of the hour. The next hunt for a perfect venue that served the purpose of how we pictured our event and #RadissonHotel, helped us achieve it all. Meeting the bright minds from across generations and understanding and listening to their different perspectives gave us a platform to grow. While we were upset and anxious about people not turning up at the start, once they did start pouring in, it was overwhelming and surprising to have them recognising me by a single phone call with them or just being the admin of the WhatsApp group. While we might have underestimated ourselves the event was a testament to all our efforts and #hardwork. Together, we celebrate our #victories, learn from our #setbacks, and grow stronger with each passing day. Our journey is a testament to the resilience and determination of women everywhere, and I am grateful to walk this path with each of you by my side. PS: A little context to my title, I had decided to wear white sneakers initially for the comfort but then had to jump into my statement heels.

South Korea's dating scene offers a striking contrast that helped shape our approach to safety. I was shocked to know the difference in South Korea's dating scene, where it's normal to list: - One's body weight. - Family background. - Even education history. It's a culture of openness built on social trust, but the Indian reality is just the opposite. In India, trust needs to be earned differently. Our users taught us that safety is the foundation. When we added 8 languages, we discovered that women feel most comfortable when they can communicate in their own language. What surprised us most was: In regions where we introduced native language support, female user engagement increased by 15%. It was about cultural understanding. Today, we're building something uniquely Indian with: > No pressure for sharing personal details. > No rushed verification.
