As the Founder, I'm very happy with our pitch (300-word limit): WELCOME TO THE NEW HR. On March 12, 2024, the SBA has confirmed that women own more than 12 million businesses and employ over 10.7 million workers. Women-owned businesses face three critical challenges: # 1: 43% of women-owned businesses have no full-time staff in addition to the owner, including us (we use contractors) # 2: Access to capital. # 3: Competing with larger companies to provide an employee experience that retains employees. At Her HR Help Desk, our mission to provide affordable and accessible HR Consulting services for women, by women. Why? Because we know that female leaders bring unique perspectives, strengths, and invaluable contributions to the workplace. By supporting their growth, we can create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive future of work. Our first area of impact is supporting our clients and their businesses. We partner with female leaders to hire the right employees into the right roles, implement the right HR / Payroll systems (we love Gusto), assist with difficult conversations, and all other things HR. As a result, our clients have built strong teams that have helped them grow at a rapid pace, creating jobs in their communities. When you visit our website, the women on our home page are REAL clients who have found tremendous value in our support services. Our second area of impact is our sphere of influence in our local community. Robyn’s passion for developing female Leaders shines in our work with Austin’s Young Women's Alliance. Robyn has been a mentor for three years, a speaker on the topic of teaching young women how to advocate for themselves, and a golf tournament sponsor, giving free HR advice and snacks to women on the 3rd hole. We would use the Gusto funds to: 🙋🏽♀️ Attract more businesses that need our support. 👯♀️ Build out our career woman services to support individual female leaders. 🩵 Expand our philanthropy work to support Austin’s Dress for Success career coaching program.
