I am eager to announce that a group of researchers at Baylor College of Medicine and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, has been evaluating our AI-based contrast dose reduction solution called "DeepGad" in nearly 100 patients, and the results are very promising and now published in Academic Radiology DOI: 10.1016/j.acra.2024.10.026 Thanks to Prof. Fanny Emilia Morón, Head of the Department of Radiology, Section of Neuroradiology, and Dr. Ghassemi Rad, the corresponding author from the Department of Radiology, Section of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. 🏥 Can Lunit INSIGHT CXR actually reduce radiologists’ workload? A study led by Steven Schalekamp at Radboudumc and recently published in European Radiology, reveals that Lunit INSIGHT CXR has the potential to significantly alleviate the burden on radiologists. Key findings include: ✔ Lunit achieved an impressive AUC of 0.92 for detecting normal chest radiographs ✔ Lunit successfully identified 53% of normal chest radiographs, suggesting a possible 15% reduction in radiologists' workload, ✔ … while maintaining high NPV of 98% for urgent findings, ensuring critical cases are not missed.
