We are Exhibiting at Labour Conference 2024 Please do come and join us if you are in Liverpool this coming week. From Sunday through to Wednesday our team including experts by experience will be on hand to talk about what gambling harm looks like and how we can support individuals, organisations, statutory bodies and local authorities navigate through the complexities of gambling harm to find effective solutions. Our first Symposium event. Last week the team got together for our September Symposium hosted by Keele University and put together by our colleague Julie Sheppard An opportunity for us all to spend time together over 3 days and enjoy each others company as well as taking part in some excellent sessions. Huge thanks to Dave Keeling from Laughology, Alistair Barfield and Clarke Carlisle for their workshops. The star of the show however was PollyAnna and our colleague Ann Slater a dedicated therapy dog volunteer! Therapy dogs are specially trained to provide comfort, affection, and support to people in various settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and disaster areas. The use of these dogs has been shown to have numerous benefits and can be particularly helpful in settings where individuals may be experiencing illness, trauma, or other challenging circumstances. #charity #dogs #gambling #support
