💌Series alert! Women I Admire. 💕 Every month, I’m going to tell you about a woman who inspires me daily, who I’m in awe of, who I appreciate more than words can say (but I’ll try). For September, I’d like to spotlight Betsy Vrba, a true powerhouse at FNBO. From her days on the marketing team to her current role as a Commercial Payments Advisor, Betsy embodies the perfect balance of working hard and enjoying life to the fullest. Beyond being an inspiring colleague, Betsy is an amazing friend. We’ve created so many wonderful memories, especially through our work on the Cashology by FNBO youtube series. And during the pandemic, she convinced me to buy a bike so we could explore the trails by my house (something we definitely need to do again soon! 🚴♀️). Most people think motivation just hits one day. Like magic. And suddenly, they’ll feel ready to achieve their goals. But that’s not how it works. Motivation doesn’t lead to action. Action leads to motivation. Here are 3 simple tips to get started: 1. Do the quick things first. If it takes less than five minutes, don’t overthink it. Just do it. 2. Simulate urgency. Set a timer for 20 minutes using the Pomodoro Technique. Focus only on the task until the timer goes off. Then take a short break and repeat. 3. Control your environment. Silence your phone.
