For our client Royal De Heus we met in Jakarta where we were able to work on an amazing leadership project. Why? Because of the successful growth of the business worldwide and the industry’s increasing demands around sustainability is presenting De Heus with two challenges: 🧐 How to successfully bring its growing intercultural leadership along? 🧐 How to make sustainability an integral part of the way to do business? Together with a group of 20 executives from 12 different nationalities, each bringing their own assumptions and cultural perspectives, we worked on this project. De Heus and PT IAS, two organizations with shared interests but sometimes opposing views, collaborated to develop a business case with enormous potential for positive #impact on both people and animals. 👉 Our approach ✅ After a few online meetings, our journey begins in Jakarta. Away from daily routines, we focus on personal #leadership and sustainable fish farming in Indonesia's green interior. ✅ By expressing prejudices and sharing stories, we bridge cultural gaps. Leadership workshops, coaching, and field visits drive a joint venture in hormone-free fish farming, leading to better business and healthier food. ✅ Under time pressure, the puzzle pieces fall into place. On the last day of our 5-day journey, we present a solid vision and action plan to stakeholders. This group of leaders stands behind their shared vision and each other. The final outcome?🎯 A transformed team of strong leaders who know how to bring out the best in each other and navigate between cultural differences. They have played their part in realizing De Heus’ #sustainability agenda and contributed to a tangible product. 🌎🌱 Want to know more about this project? President of the Republic of Indonesia, General (Ret.) Prabowo Subianto, has introduced an innovative leadership approach through a strategic initiative. He commenced his term by leading a comprehensive team-building session with his entire Cabinet at Tidar. This initiative reflects key management principles, particularly in fostering organizational cohesion and ensuring alignment towards common goals. One of the fundamental tenets of leadership is to create unity and synergy among team members, which Prabowo demonstrated by prioritizing team development from the onset. Effective leadership requires the ability to build trust, promote open communication, and ensure that every team member understands their role within the broader vision and mission of the organization. By initiating this team-building exercise, President Prabowo is reinforcing a culture of collaboration, reducing potential inefficiencies, and preventing silos within the administration. This proactive approach embodies the principles of systems thinking, where the organization is seen as a collective whole, and each part must function in harmony to achieve national goals. Moreover, by addressing team dynamics early, President Prabowo is setting the foundation for a government that is not only effective in execution but also adaptive to change and challenges. I commend him for exemplifying these core management principles, demonstrating from the start how strong leadership can drive organizational success and, ultimately, national progress. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻: 𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be chairing the EGN Indonesia (Executives' Global Network) Executive Leadership, Jakarta 1 Peer Group Meeting on February 5th, from 8 AM to 12 PM, alongside the incredible Jasper B.. The session will feature Pak Yohanes Jeffry Johary as our expert speaker, diving into the fascinating topic: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻: 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. I’m so excited to return to Indonesia next month for this thought-provoking session. This topic resonates deeply with me, as it addresses how we, as leaders, can navigate an ever-changing world with clarity, courage, and confidence. For me, foresight isn’t just about predicting the future. It’s about leading with purpose, spotting opportunities early, and preparing for disruptions before they arise. But foresight alone isn’t enough. The magic happens when it’s integrated with change management. Together, these tools help us transform big-picture strategies into tangible, impactful results. Here’s why this matters: While foresight provides the vision, change management brings structure, alignment, and engagement. It ensures that forward-thinking ideas turn into actionable plans, driving innovation and resilience in uncertain times. In this session, Pak Yohanes Jeffry will share valuable insights, drawing from experiences in navigating global markets, embracing cultural diversity, and reshaping industries. His expertise, combined with the dynamic discussions from our peer group, will inspire us all to think beyond the horizon. By integrating foresight and change management, we’re not just reacting to change—we’re creating it. It’s time to build future-ready organizations that lead boldly, adapt quickly, and innovate fearlessly. 📢 To all EGN Indonesia members: Please join us by registering for this session! For others interested, feel free to DM me or Jasper for more details. Are you ready to move beyond the ordinary? 💡 Let’s explore new horizons and redefine the future of leadership together. #Leadership #Foresight #ChangeManagement #Innovation #ExecutiveLeadership #Networking

What does design have to do with it? Everything. Last week, we were in Jakarta helping a client who wanted us to conduct primary research with focus groups for their innovation team. This is the initial step where we gather information before discussing and addressing the team's gaps and challenges with the stakeholders. Once we confirm the gaps and challenges, we'll begin designing a customized intervention for the team. Confirming the gaps and challenges is crucial to the success for the people development program for the client. Since it's our first meeting with the innovation team, it's crucial to establish psychological safety and trust to ensure the accuracy of the primary research data reflecting their challenges. We carefully planned the flow and delivery of the focus group by understanding the team's functions, their experiences within the company, and gathering preliminary input from reporting managers and HR. The focus group went smoothly, and the client was pleased with the data collected on leadership development gaps, as it mirrored the internal processes and systemic gaps they had identified earlier. Now, we can progressively work on closing the different gaps. Excited for the integrated growth with these leaders soon! #innovation #indonesia #focus #challenges #cassandracoach

Reunited and it feels so good! 😍 Had a blast catching up with my Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Kognitif dan Pembangunan Manusia (PESAKMA) gang after months. We reflected on our shared experiences and discussed how to ensure our organization's long-term viability. Our discussions centered around the elements of a sustainable organization, and we emerged with these key takeaways: 1. Effective Communication: Open and honest communication is essential for aligning goals and fostering a supportive environment. 2. Purpose-Driven Projects: Ensuring that all initiatives contribute to the organization's overarching mission ensures relevance and impact. 3. Personal and Organizational Alignment: When individual goals align with the organization's objectives, everyone benefits, leading to greater commitment and resilience. We believe that these three principles are fundamental for building a thriving organization. Grateful for the opportunity to reconnect and learn from each other. #PESAKMA #reunion, #organizationdevelopment, #leadership

I recently rediscovered this piece in my room, and it brought back so many memories. Back then, I was passionate about writing and sharing ideas, and it’s incredible to see how that passion still burns brightly today, even as I navigate my role as a supply chain professional. This experience reminds me of the power of communication, both written and verbal, in any profession. I’ve learned that storytelling isn’t limited to articles; it’s a valuable skill in leadership, collaboration, and strategy. Yes, it's a storytelling!!! and I should mention it to Coach Wawang Sukmoro who never gave up on fueling our energy and passion for writing. Have you ever found something from your past that reminded you of your journey?
