The clock is ticking for some PB shippers. The multi carrier strategy is right path for all shippers to consider, as more shipping / carrier changes and disruptions look to continue across the small parcel industry.

In the Venn diagram, both WARP and LTL Carriers utilize dense local networks and line haul schedules for efficient scheduling and cost-effective per-pallet pricing. However, WARP distinguishes itself with better cost efficiency through a varied fleet, dynamic routing, superior tracking from first to last mile, and simplified, surprise-free pricing. Additionally, WARP's dockless freight system streamlines deliveries and reduces costs, in contrast to LTL's class-based pricing and susceptibility to damages from frequent handoffs. CEO & Co-Founder at Tusk Logistics | Expert in reducing parcel shipping costs | Driving value for eCommerce shippers
Delivery rates from the legacy national parcel carriers only go in one direction -- 🆙 But their increases are often hard to follow, or not apparent at first glance. A great recent example is from USPS. Starting September 16th USPS increased rates for 17,000 ZIP Codes So much for a single annual increase in January :) With shipping costs on the rise, it's crucial to optimize your logistics strategy and diversify your carrier mix. But we know this is tough to do in practice and often involves risk. 💡Tusk Logistics is here to help. DM me if you're alternative carrier curious but don't know where/how to start Or if you're brave, post your questions below in the comments and I'll reply live!

Is your parcel carrier network working against you? It could be and you don't realize. Here is what I mean. Everyone and their mother wants better shipping rates and flexibility. So what do most do? Onboard multiple parcel carriers. While this may seem like a strategy for optimization, it can often lead to inefficiencies that move you further from achieving whatever you set out in the first place. Things to consider IMO - Operational Complexity: Managing multiple carriers means juggling different tracking systems, varying service levels, and distinct customer service protocols. Simplifying your network can streamline these processes. Warehouse Efficiency: More carriers mean more complexity in sorting and dispatching parcels from your warehouses. Consolidation allows for potentially reducing errors and speeding up operations. More carriers = more dock doors = more complexity potential Does leaner = meaner?? (bad joke) Cost Management: Dealing with fewer carriers can lead to better negotiated rates, bulk shipping discounts, and reduced admin overhead. Simplicity trumps complexity more times than not. #ecommerce #shipping #logistics
