Hard work pays off. Early in my career, I took a tough listing that nobody wanted - an old building with the cheapest rates in town. It was a challenge but I managed to fill it with tenants, which led to its eventual sale. The buyer of the building and I developed a strong relationship over time. A few years later, they bought another building from a client of mine and it resulted in the largest commission I've ever earned from a single transaction. #TrueStory. Building trust, maintaining relationships, and taking a risk paid off big time. So here’s my takeaway for you: Dive into those challenging tasks, focus on building genuine trust, and watch as incredible things unfold. My Journey into Real Estate 🏡 A long time ago, when I was a kid, I started working various jobs: In high school and college, I was a lifeguard in the summer 🌞, Worked at a tackle store 🎣, and did some part-time commercial fishing. I quickly realized those careers weren't for me—they wouldn't get me where I wanted to be. So, I took a leap into real estate and enrolled in a real estate class. I’ve always had a passion for architecture 🏛️ and enjoyed being outdoors, Moving from place to place, instead of being stuck in an office all day. I began mentoring with an experienced real estate agent, and my mind was blown 🤯. Real estate felt like a totally different language. There was so much to learn about contracts, finance, negotiating, and even inspections. I thought, “How will I ever understand all of this?” But I figured it out. I studied hard 📚, paid close attention, and kept learning. 30 years later, I’m still here, still learning, and adapting to every market change.
