One of my favorite pass times is following space weather news🥰. I have great fascination for space elements we can and can't see with our naked eyes. You know how some people can't do without their morning newspaper😅? Yeah, that's how interested I am in space weather. The universe and the wonders of discovery by the James Webb and the Hubble space telescopes is amazing! Before I digress, do you know the Earth was hit by a level 4 Geomagnetic storm yesterday? The storm caused beautiful green, red and purple auroras aka northern lights in several places around the world! Pictured below is one of these beauties. Auroras may be beautiful, but they always have an ominous meaning behind them. They're an indication of solar radiation infiltrating the Earth. Our magnetosphere protects the Earth from solar winds and CMEs (Coral Mass Ejections) from our closest star, the sun 🌞. Scientists say that detection of northern lights in places they usually aren't seen, is a sign of a weakening magnetosphere, and that's not a good thing. In lay man terms, if the magnetosphere fails, the sun will fry us 🥵. Other possible effects of all the solar radiation (though contested by some scientists) is the increase of severe weather, quake and volcanic activity. #spaceweather #northernlights All creation declares the glory of God!
