#WOMEN #NOW #DEMOCRACY #WOMENSRIGHTS #HUMAN TRAFFICKING #DOMESTIC ABUSE I know that there is no way that women across America from ALL walks of life, regardless of political party affiliation will not stand by and let their "hard earned" rights be taken away from them. There is no doubt in my mind that WE are prepared to stand-up and fight for our rights. If you agree, here is a link to a conference which begins today and ends tomorrow. The title of my session is: How Human Trafficking Prohibits Women from Participating in the Promise of Freedom and Democracy and What Women Can Do About it. There are two days’ worth of pertinent topics happening of which you need the information. The conference fee is $65 or whatever you can afford to pay. Please share the link.

Un Silenced. Until we have justice, at least we have voices. Women are still silenced, still abused everywhere in the world purely because they are women. As long as women are undermined, underrepresented in leadership - government, police, industry - there will continue to be a disparity in how genders are viewed in terms of their value and inherent worth. As long as men like Bruce Lehrmann can drag their victims through consecutive media/legal trials (while being lavished with money and free accommodation by the Seven network), and major sports celebrities can rape women and be released without punishment (thanks to expensive, savvy lawyers), this nation will continue to remind women our lives matter less. We don't need rhetoric, we need meaningful representation and a justice system that puts women's needs at the forefront. We need more women judges, more women MPs, and if that means gender quotas, do it.

Democracy is Feminist. "Historically, women in the United States have participated voraciously in civic life, registering and voting at higher rates than men in every presidential election since 1980. Black women show up at the polls and in voter mobilization efforts in even greater numbers, with turnout rates of upward of 66% in 2020." 16/16 Today, on International Human Rights Day, we reaffirm that gender-based violence is not just a women’s issue—it is a human rights issue. Every person has the right to live free from violence, discrimination, and fear. Yet, millions around the world, especially women and girls, face these injustices daily. As we round off the 16 Days of Activism, we call on everyone to: 1. Champion equality and justice in every sphere of life. 2. Advocate for the rights of women and girls, ensuring their voices are heard and their freedoms upheld. 3. Hold perpetrators of violence accountable and work to create systems that protect and empower all people. 💡 Remember: A world free of violence, where human rights are respected and upheld, is possible. But it starts with us—our actions, our advocacy, and our commitment to justice. On this Human Rights Day, let us pledge to continue the fight beyond these 16 days, working tirelessly to achieve a world where everyone, regardless of gender, can live with dignity, equality, and peace. #16DaysOfActivism #HumanRightsDay #EndGBV #GenderEquality #JusticeForAll

Day 5| 16 Days of Activism| International Women Human Rights Defenders Day What happens when those who defend human rights become targets of violence, threats, and stigma? On the surface, many believe in equality and justice, but when someone steps in to challenge everyday acts of violence or discrimination, the response often shifts to resistance, hostility, or even further violence. What does this reveal about the systems that enable harm and suppress accountability? Human rights defenders challenge entrenched norms and power structures, often facing backlash from within their own communities. Their efforts force us to confront uncomfortable truths about how denial, stigma, and silence perpetuate cycles of violence. Yet, while we acknowledge their vital role, we must also ask: why do we need defenders at all? On International Women Human Rights Defenders Day, Sakshi reflects on how to move beyond acknowledgment to collective action. What would it take to create a world where equity and justice are inherent, and defenders are no longer necessary? This means addressing systemic violence, dismantling harmful patriarchal norms, holding men and boys accountable for their actions, and fostering a culture where intervention against violence is supported, not punished. Today, let us turn awareness into action and solidarity into systemic change, ensuring that equity and dignity are not ideals we defend but realities we live every day. #SakshiNGO #16DaysOfActivism #InternationalHumanRightsDefendersDay #EndGBV #AccountabilityForAll #ChallengeEverydayViolence #DismantlePatriarchy #ActionForChange #BehaviouralChange

Results Based Management (RBM)101 Workshops and conferences are activities, which if well planned and executed, produce outputs. Many SMART outputs complement each other to produce outcomes. Many SMART outcomes then produce impact. Development programming requires solid technical skills.
