The multifunctional technologies NivoBob® NB 3300 in rope version and NB 3400 as tape version are specially modified plumb line systems of UWT for interface measurements. An extra PA coating of the stainless steel cable also allows installation in very corrosive materials. To avoid slippage, the cable or tape pulley is provided with a further special rubber coating. Due to the individual fine adjustment of the sensor weight in the rope version, whereby this is exactly adjusted to the sludge layer, high precision of the measurements can be achieved with the NB 3300. Different #offshore platforms and #FPSO having different requirements on oil/gas field requirements. Both of them are using different risers either rigid or flexible risers. For certain offshore #oilfield, production and gas injections risers have concerns in respect to stress-induced corrosion cracking from carbon dioxide (#CO2) Potential problem related to phenomenon of stress-induced corrosion cracking from supercritical carbon dioxide (#SCC-CO2) caused by the present of high levels of the contaminant in the natural gas. Originally designed to withstand over 2 decades, the risers failures occurred after only a few years of service in conditions where the flexible were being subjected to strong tension and suffered a breach of the external armour , allowing sweater to infiltrate the annular sections, mixing it with CO2. The powerful corrosive effect of this #seawater influx compromised the annular sections, causing the pipe structure to rupture and promoting the end user to switch its contracting strategy to rigid-risers. new technology arrived as rigid riser featuring titanium stress joints using an alloy made of #ruthenium (a rare metal). Common steel stress joints used on rigid lines do not fit the tubular structure on FPSO currently equipped with flexible but the new titanium component ultimately solve the mechanical problem of material resistance. Removable #PFP covers Benarx® #EpoxyBox are not subjected to any negative impact from CO2 or saltwater at ambient temperatures and pressures. The epoxy intumenscent coating is sprayed on both sides of the perforated stainless steel plate.
