Helping others is one of the most rewarding things we can do. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Do charity . Provide school requirements for a student who is struggling in school. Check in on an elderly neighbor who lives alone. Donate blood or other needed supplies. Even a friendly smile or listening ear can brighten someone's day. When we help others, we not only make their lives better, but we also enrich our own lives. It connects us to our shared humanity and gives us a sense of purpose. So look for opportunities, big or small, to lend a helping hand. The impact you can have is invaluable. #yesyoucan. #helpthoseinneed. #humanity

What are you doing today to spread kindness and joy or to brighten someone's day? 🤷♀️ Kindness is a ripple that can create waves of positivity! Here are some of my favourite ways to make a difference: Buy an extra coffee for a stranger or co-worker. Donate things you don’t need to a local NGO. Donate money to a good cause. Write a thank you note just because. Volunteer your time or expertise in your community. Leave a message of encouragement for a friend or co-worker. Hold the door open for the person behind you. Give someone a genuine compliment. Message to check in with a friend. Let's all do our part to make the world a little brighter today! What are some of your favourite acts of kindness? #SpreadKindness #ActsOfKindness

Director of People Experience at Forvis Mazars in the UK | Mental Health First Aider l Board Trustee at Tourettes Action Charity
Today is Tourette’s awareness day, and those who know me will know how important it is for me to raise awareness about Tourette’s. It is a condition that is often misunderstood or not spoken about due to stigma, but impacts my family daily. Being a parent of child with Tourette’s has taught me so much about the condition and opened my eyes to the complex nature and impact it has on an individuals life. I was unaware of how painful Tourette’s could be, involuntary tics and repetitive movements on a daily basis are exhausting. Tourettes Action does fantastic work in raising awareness about the condition, and educating on the things that are often unknown, such as the pain associated with tics. Understanding, awareness and empathy all play a part in creating more inclusion for those with Tourette’s to thrive, and most importantly be seen for who they are, and not just by their tics. #TourettesAwarenessDay #Inclusion #TourettesHurts
Today is international Tourette’s awareness day – 7th June – where we celebrate all the amazing people in our community. Please use this as your profile picture for the day 💚 Here at Tourettes Action we work hard every single day to support those with the condition and those around them to ensure they receive the practical support and social acceptance they need to help them live their lives to the full. If you would like to support our work and help us to continue to support those with Tourette’s and their families, TEXT HURT to 70560 to donate £2. #TourettesHurts #Tourettes #TouretteSyndrome #TourettesAwareness

Thinking about giving back? Struggling to find some way to start? Here’s an easy way to give to many in need: Give blood. It takes about an hour out of your day, you can donate once about every 3 months, and they give you treats. https://lnkd.in/gtCBVc_z #giveblood #giveback #balance

Not sure who needs to hear this, 📣but take the next three months and donate that time to your future self. Commit to doing something that you’re going to thank yourself for doing a year from today. Comment below with your commitment. What are you going to do? 🌱#GrowthMindset

Just showing up and being present isn’t enough. I need you to do more. It’s always an excuse. I would do that but, I don’t know what to do. I would, but I don’t want them to feel bad. I just don’t have the time right now. The time is now. Now is the time to act with urgency. Racialized and minoritized individuals…. - live daily without knowing, and yet figure things out. - Are accused of making people feel bad simply sharing about their day. - Don’t have the luxury of time, oppression happens every minute, hour, and day. It’s a choice. Privilege gives one the advantage of choice. Specifically choosing when to act and how you want to act. Just showing up at an event, listening to an experience, or donating money to a cause are nice. But not revolutionary. #colouconsulting #colou_consulting #everydaypractices #systemicchange #bethechange #makeadifference

Making an impact doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Here are 10 ideas of simple things you can do today to make a difference: 1. Call your parents just to see how they are doing. 2. Text a friend you haven't spoken to in a while. 3. Apologize to someone you hurt. 4. Play with your children. 5. Spend quality time talking with your significant other. 6. Donate $1 to have a tree planted. 7. Invite someone to lunch. 8. Start a conversation with the person beside you in line or on the bus. 9. Send a thank you note to someone who helped you. 10. Do one of the chores around the house that your significant other normally takes care of and give them the night off. What other simple, difference-making actions can we add to the list?
