How today being National Pet day might mean for us at work tomorrow. This is my guy Otter. I rescued him during COVID. What if "human's" could be more like dogs. What if we had more traits like dogs in our work or leadership. What would that look like? Here are five traits I noticed in Otter to guide us as co-workers and leaders - 1.    LOYALTY: Otter has unwavering loyalty to me as his owner. Fostering trust and collaboration at work leads to success!! 2.    ADAPTABILITY: Otter adjusted to his new home and commands easily. Embracing innovation and flexibility at work will ease stress and increase growth!! 3.    COMMUNICATION: Otter has vocal cues & body language for his needs. Concise communication, transparency, and understanding, aligns team members!! 4.    RESILIENCE: Otter has adverse days with long waits for potty, food or walks. Our work days are filled with challenges, think what's next and big picture!! 5.    EMPATHY: Otter knows my bad days and offers comfort just sitting with me. 🐾 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲! 🐶🌍 On this special day, we're honouring the furry companions that bring joy and unconditional love to our lives – our beloved dogs! 🐕 At GateHub, we're thrilled to have a dog-friendly office where our four-legged friends are always welcome. Seeing them wagging their tails and spending time with all of us at the office adds an extra layer of happiness to our workplace. How did we start the "dogs in the office" project? 🐾 Our priority has always been that both 𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 in each other’s company. 🐾 We implemented 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲, which defines the duties and responsibilities of the dog owners and guides employees when socialising with dogs. 🐾 𝐀 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 was held, where we agreed that each dog needs to have its own 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐤. 🐾 𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 “𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞” 𝐝𝐚𝐲, owners and dogs met at the park, hung out and later went to the office together. 🐾 Since then the dogs have proven to be 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨-𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬, and an irreplaceable addition to our work life. The presence of dogs isn't just about the adorable moments – 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲.
