🌐 Big news from Atlanta, Georgia! 🚀 💡 A massive 1.19 million sq ft data center campus is in the pipeline, poised to transform a 59-acre site into a state-of-the-art tech hub. With the project moniker 'Fairburn Technology Center', we're looking at a significant boost to the local economy and technological infrastructure by 2028. 🏗️ But hold your horses - before the construction cranes can adorn the horizon, there's talk of rezoning. From fields of green to pillars of progress, the site's shift from agricultural to industrial use is key. Transparency alert - details on the driving force behind Bohannon Road Venture LLC are still under wraps, with Troutman Pepper Strategies at the legal helm. 💼 Atlanta's data center scene is a bustling beehive, teeming with big names like Microsoft and QTS. And this is no isolated case; Fairburn Technology Center is simply the latest feather in Georgia's digital cap. Not too far away, another large-scale data endeavor is taking shape, showcasing the region's allure for tech giants. 💰 Let's talk incentives - Georgia's playing it smart with tempting tax breaks, nurturing a welcoming environment for data centers. Despite a recent veto keeping these perks on the table, it's clear the Peach State means business, extending exemptions to 2033 to spur investment and job creation. 🔗 With our data needs skyrocketing, these strategic developments aren't just about square footage; they're about securing Georgia's place in the digital race. So, let's keep tabs on how these tech temples will shape the landscape, both physically and economically. #DataCenterBoom #GeorgiaTech #DigitalEconomy 🌐💡🏗️

Our #360Pulse Magazine - Autumn 2024 edition is out and Circle Optics, Inc. COO Ian Gauger contributed "Thriving in the Upstate New York Tech Corridor." Here is a sliver of a sliver: "For many, Upstate New York evokes images of historical landmarks and ‘Rustbelt’ manufacturing towns. However, beneath this surface lies a burgeoning tech corridor brimming with potential and opportunity. The Greater Buffalo-Rochester-Syracuse region is challenging the traditional Silicon Valley narrative, rapidly emerging as a dynamic tech scene. Recently designated as the NY SMART I-Corridor, this region is bolstered by a new federal grant of $40 million awarded under the CHIPS & Science Act of 2023. This initial investment has the potential to unlock billions in future funding to support the region's focus on semiconductor manufacturing, innovation, and workforce development. As the COO of Circle Optics, a startup at the forefront of panoramic camera technology for Defense and Aerospace, I’ve witnessed firsthand the exceptional environment Upstate New York provides for companies like ours to thrive. Nowhere else can you find such a deep well of technical talent, research institutions, affordability, and community support. Having lived and worked in New York City and Berlin, we chose to locate Circle Optics in Rochester because of the startup ecosystem that fosters collaboration over competition." "Speculative frenzies are part of technology, and so they are not something to be afraid of. Those who remain level-headed through this moment have the chance to build extremely important companies. But we need to make sure not to believe in the delusion that has now spread from Silicon Valley to the rest of the country, and indeed the world." Questions. And who is asking! Link in comment.

I'm biased, but the Triangle is poised to be one of the most exciting business hubs over the next decade. Here are a few reasons why: 1. The area is witnessing a rapid influx of highly educated and high-earning individuals, driven in part by companies like Apple and NVIDIA establishing headquarters in the vicinity. This creates economic growth and attracts a demographic with significant financial resources and innovative potential. 2. The Triangle has foundations in key innovation sectors like #tech and #healthcare, with established companies like IBM, Honeywell, Red Hat, LabCorp, and Wolfspeed continuing to expand and invest in new inventions. 3. The Triangle has a much lower cost of living compared to NYC, LA, or SF. This affordability simply allows for greater risk-taking. 4. We're cultivating a strong entrepreneurial community, with organizations like Raleigh Founded, The Loading Dock, and American Underground fostering tight-knit ecosystems and collaborative spaces.

We love a good look ahead at the market here at Build Space, we are always working with intel partners and forecasters to understand sector trends and growth opportunities. While the Construction Industry as a whole has been pretty flat over the last 12 months, we have seen a real spike in work over the last 10-12 weeks and, based on our research across the spaces we specialise in, this looks set to continue over the next 2 - 3 years. Today, we take a look at the outlook for our Open Space Team, as you can see from the stats, it looks like we have a super positive swing in front of us. INDUSTRIAL & LOGISTICS - demand for storage space has never really wavered, but it has taken some time for investors and consumers to adjust to a higher interest rate environment, this is now happening and we should see a lot more projects wins in H2 of 2024 and 2025. DATA CENTRES / HYPERSCALE - the new government made a pledge in their election manifesto to revamp the UK planning system once in office and we have already seen signs of this commitment with Angela Rayner signing off on two massive Hyperscale projects this week. With 30+ data centre projects due to kick off in the UK over the next year or two we can expect continued growth in this boom sector. PHARMA / LIFE SCIENCES - with increased investment and demand, the UK Pharma industry is going from strength to strength. Ongoing regulatory changes post-Brexit are fueling investment and with a strengthening economy and government support, construction project starts should increase significantly. Exciting times ahead. Build Space builds full project teams for the highest profiler projects in this space. Want to know more about about our work in these sectors and our "deliberately different" talent solutions? Drop me a line at our Bankside HQ for a chat. #industrialandlogistics #datacentres #pharma #buildspace #openspace #deliberatelydifferent

💲US Investment in Tech💲 The CHIPS and Science Act, signed into Federal law in August 2022, authorised $280 Billion in new funding to boost high-tech research and semi-conductor manufacturing! 2024 has already seen government grants to companies like Intel & Samsung to help build huge new tech facilities, with the White House committed to making the US a tech leader. Investment will be evenly distributed to help economies across the US and grow new tech hubs. For example, Arizona is in line for the two largest individual investments under the CHIPS+ Act, which contribute towards $70 Billion+ new investment in tech and will create a projected 9500+ jobs! Is the Grand Canyon State the next big US Tech Hub? 🚀 #tech #usinvestment #recruitment #staffing
