The future is exciting in MedTech; Here are 3 areas I think should be a focus for strategic action! Let me know in the comments below which areas you feel are key for strategic action in 2024. 1️⃣ Supply Chain: MedTech companies are doubling down on supply chain resilience to navigate operational challenges in a rapidly evolving landscape. From negotiating rising inflation and interest rates to addressing equipment transportation hurdles, investing strategically in digital technologies and data-driven insights is key to enhancing operational efficiencies and driving cost savings. 2️⃣ Market Access: China's booming healthcare market presents immense opportunities for MedTech companies. Understanding the unique regulatory environment and economic plans like Made in China 2025 is crucial for successful market penetration. By tailoring strategies and navigating volume-based procurement (VBP) and the National Encouraged List, companies can tap into China's vast consumer base and contribute to the country's healthcare advancement. 3️⃣ Innovation in Telemedicine and Remote Patient Monitoring: The global shift towards digital healthcare has accelerated the demand for telemedicine and remote patient monitoring solutions. MedTech innovators have a unique opportunity to develop cutting-edge technologies that enhance patient care, improve healthcare accessibility, and drive cost efficiencies in the evolving hybrid care delivery model. I believe that MedTech firms that Embrace these focus areas will be positioned for success in the dynamic healthcare landscape of the coming year and beyond. #MedTech #Innovation #medicaldevices

Founder, CEO iLifeXtend Longevity Singapore APAC | AI Health Tech | Gut Microbiome| Genetics | Personalized HealthCare | Global Strategic Partnership | Ex Finance - Stockbroker/Equity Sales
Three weeks ago, I visited Singapore to launch iLifeXtend Longevity SG, with almost no network in the country, to establish it as the HQ for longevity innovations in the APAC region. Three weeks after ( that’s how quick our work speed ) we’re bringing Global Healthcare SG in the Philippines and other emerging markets. Heart disease remains the number one cause of death in the Philippines and the APAC region. With an AI Triage that can predict cardiac emergencies up to 30 days in advance, we can save numerous lives before they suffer strokes, heart attacks, and other fatalities. As the healthcare system evolves from traditional hospitals to longevity, holistic, wellness clinics, and even home care, it is essential to integrate advanced technologies like AI into our practices. Not only is the AI Triage suitable for the premium segment, but it is also a valuable device for underserved regions as it is completely portable, accurate, and easily uploads data to the cloud for electronic medical records. For partnerships, you can reach me personally at ssantos@ilifextend.com

China general manager session at MedTech Conference 2024, with McKinsey partner Kevin Wu and GMs of Medtronic and GE HealthCare. Even if China grows at 2% for next 5 years, that GDP growth would be equivalent to the total GDP of India now. Only 1/10 penetration rate vs US for various Medtronic and GE Healthcare products, eg CT diagnosis. Such large patient volumes also allow for increasing innovation to emerge from China rather than just be target market. Different patient volumes lead to different approaches: eg 200 CT scans a day vs 20 a day for CT machines in other countries. Medtronic is investing directly in China startups too in association with Sequoia Capital and seeing very fast iterations. Biggest risk in China for GE is inaction - then would lose the vast market and also fail 20% of global population for their healthcare needs. #medtech #marketaccess #china
