4 STEPS TO ACE VIRTUAL INTERVIEWS : Virtual interviews can feel awkward, even for those who are used to virtual working and learning, but they are now a standard practice. Do these four things to ace them. - Test Your Tech: Ensure your camera, microphone, and internet connection are functioning correctly. Always have a backup plan in case of technical difficulties. - Body Language Matters: Despite the virtual setting, maintain good posture, smile, and establish 'eye contact' by looking directly into the camera. - Be Concise: With the absence of in-person cues, it's crucial to keep your responses brief and focused on your most relevant experiences. -Practice: I can’t overstate this one. Practice online interviewing. Record yourself and watch so that you can course correct! With preparation, a virtual interview can be just as impactful as an in-person meeting. #VirtualInterviews #InterviewTips #CareerAdvice #CareerCoaching#EarlyCareer

With Virtual interviews now being the norm, I thought I'd share my Virtual Interview Checklist 📝 ✔️ Test your tech: Make sure your computer, internet connection, and audio/video settings are all working properly before the interview. ✔️ Choose a quiet spot: Select a quiet, well-lit area where you won't be disturbed. If this is not possible, ensure the interviewer is aware of your circumstances and set the correct expectations before the interview. ✔️ Will you have or be taking notes? If you are then let the interviewer know this before you start looking off-screen. ✔️ Be mindful of your body language: Just like in an in-person interview, it's important to maintain good posture and smile. ✔️ Follow-up: A thank you note through the app or a brief email can be a great way to leave a lasting impression. Hopefully, this helps! 🤞 #VirtualInterview #RecruitingTips #JobSearch
