Senior living is local. It thrives on relationships and local connections. Even companies with a national presence can only provide so much help from afar. Sure, they can help with systems, training, marketing & advertising strategies, content, etc. But they can't build and nurture the local relationships. The best community leaders embrace a local mindset and invest in their market. ✔ People refer to people. Outreach is about the local relationships. ✔ Attend networking events AND actively meet people. This is great for your non-sales team members. It casts a wider net while your sales team focuses on the 1-1 Outreach. ✔ Civic involvement builds trust, a brand reputation, and goodwill. You have to prove yourself to YOUR market. Do they see you participating in local events and giving back? You may have a sterling reputation in your neighboring state, but that doesn't automatically transfer to YOUR market. Prioritize YOUR community's resident and staff satisfaction AND be local.
