I just spent three days with hundreds of our amazing Banfield leaders at our annual National Field Leadership (NFL) conference. Connecting with our Associates is always an honor to me, and this gathering is a highlight of the year – not only to share our strategic vision as leaders, but to ask questions and listen to stories with our Associates. These kind of exchanges shape what we do as an organization.
I was thrilled to be able to share some of these stories to demonstrate the power of saying yes to pets as a fundamental part of our culture. This is key to how we will be #UnitedInCare this year. We know we want to reach more of the pets who need us, and we know our Associates want to make a difference. So we are focused on operational improvements that will help our teams say "yes" to meeting their needs in ways that work best for them – think, better scheduling, more rewards, and improved collaboration.
These kinds of systemic changes focused on the Associate experience are only possible in a culture like Banfield's where we make time to get to know each other, listen to feedback, and share ideas. As a leader, I am always seeking to understand and set the tone, then get out of the way and allow our Associates to take us to a place of possibility. That's how we realize our purpose — #ABetterWorldForPets. If NFL is any kind of preview, this is going to be a year for BIG impact thanks to our dedicated teams.
