🇺🇸 Our RedThread curriculum dives deep into the values of participation and freedom that define our democracy, particularly in third and fourth grade. All units are thematically linked to the content focus throughout the year and work backward from inquiry-based essential questions. Third grade students explore the theme, “Discovering My Voice: What does it mean to be a participant in a democracy?” Fourth graders study “Finding Freedom: What does it mean to be free?” These themes inspire young learners to understand and appreciate their roles in our society. Encourage a love for democracy and freedom in your classrooms—learn more about our engaging RedThread curriculum! 📘✨ #EducationEmpowers #IndependenceDay

💡 Turning Struggle into Success: A Teacher's Quest to Engage Every Student In a South Texas border town, where 88% of students face economic challenges, one dedicated teacher refused to give up. Despite years of creative lessons and one-on-one support, nearly 75% of her 6th graders struggled to meet grade-level expectations. Enter Curipod, an AI-powered lesson delivery platform that became the game-changer: 💬 Student Voice: Kids wrote about their passions, from Taylor Swift to soccer 🔁 Instant Feedback: AI provided immediate, encouraging guidance 🤗 Community Building: Writing transformed from a solitary task to a shared adventure The result? A classroom buzzing with excitement and a 17% jump in achievement. "I saw students really eager and excited to learn! Especially wanting to write. When a 6th grader is willing to write... I got goosebumps." - School Principal This isn't just about test scores. It's about lighting up young minds, boosting confidence, and opening doors to future opportunities. Curipod is sparking students’ curiosity through AI-native interactive lessons. Exposing kids/students to addictive and harmful technologies, even at the youngest ages, in the name of “teaching skills” is clearly a twisted version of media literacy (ML). Our foundation will continue to advocate for ML education that BOTH protects AND empowers children (especially the youngest of them). To that end, the screen-free schools movement is a self-evidently much-needed course correction. It’s beyond the pale to me that so-called ML professionals stand in opposition to such common-sense measures. In fact, our current situation represents an opportunity to practice *actual* media literacy. Teaching students to be critical of addictive media before we expose them to it is just common sense. Movies and TV shows are better without the product placement. ML would be, too. We look forward to finding a ML civic organization looking to try it. Educators can and should stand in solidarity with anyone trying to protect children. Fairplay, for example, is one of our allied organizations (ie, grantees) and we’re proud of what they are doing.

Just came across Athina, an intelligent tool designed to meet the needs of managers and educators. It helps streamline the process of learning and course management with features that include automatic grading and programming assignments. Suitable for both online and traditional classrooms. A brilliant meeting point of education and technology. Worth exploring!

When we tell people that @antimattersys enables teaching and learning, we got a lot of "Memes?!?" So we made a video! The video is also great at illustrating that Antimatter is about to grow beyond the classroom. The pilot program for out student app has been outrageously exciting for us and our students. And it limits our ability to make decisions about special session programming. Well, it’s information we don’t have YET. Today is the deadline to submit an application for the summer session research grant co-sponsored by MindMax and NAASS. You still have until EOD tomorrow get your app in.
