💧Diving deep into the Danish water loss control success story at Texas Water Week! This week, our Senior Commercial Advisor for Water, Anne-Louise F. Christensen represented the Water Technology Alliance (WTA) at Texas Water in Fort Worth, TX - the largest regional water conference in the U.S. 🇺🇸 Anne-Louise took to the stage to explain how Denmark has achieved one of the world’s lowest water losses through digitalization, benchmarking, regulations, and groundbreaking innovations. She outlined the drivers and benefits of a resilient and sustainable water sector, highlighting: 👉 Low water loss (average loss of 7%) 👉 Reduction in production and energy costs 👉 Savings on infrastructure repairs 👉 Focus on innovations and state of the art solutions 👉 All plants are partly or completely unmanned Anne-Louise highlighted the utility case story from HOFOR incl. their historic water loss reduction and their participation in the LEAKman project. The public-private development project focused on reducing water losses by combining multiple methods and technologies to detect leaks automatically, displaying output of different data sources in one single platform. This approach is not only leveraging synergies to improve decision making and leakage detection, but also reducing unexpected water supply interruptions, achieving better customer service, and avoiding costly repairs. Thank you to Texas Water for the opportunity to have Anne-Louise F. Christensen share insights on Denmark's water and leak management 🤝 Read more about our work in the Water Technology Alliance here 👉 https://lnkd.in/dDungnhx #DenmarkinUSA #WorkingforDenmark #LEAKmann #TexasWater

Here at WGM, our ultimate goal is to strengthen communities for a resilient future through insightful design. That's why we've spent the better part of a year collaborating with Broadwater County and the Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) to draft an amendment to the county's Growth Policy. What is a growth policy? It's an official guide based on common vision for managing change in communities. As Broadwater County grows, it aims to develop a Growth Policy that aligns with its vision of preserving its unique rural character and agricultural lands while embracing the potential benefits of growth. This amendment focuses on inclusion of a future land use map. With the draft future land use plan/map, the community is charting a course that honors their values and sets the stage for a prosperous future. As the policy moves toward the adoption process, Broadwater County residents, local and state agencies, and other stakeholders are providing final comments for consideration. We're excited to see how this plan strengthens Broadwater County for a resilient future.

This week marks National Groundwater Awareness week. Established in 1999, this week highlights the responsible development, management, and use of groundwater, as more than 44% of our population depends on it as a primary water source. According to this infographic from the National Ground Water Association, beneath our feet lies 90% of the Earth's freshwater. While it's a staggering fact, only a fraction—less than 27%—of America's water usage comes from this underground reserve. At Petersheim Brothers H2O, LLC, we consider it our responsibility to contribute to the education and conservation of groundwater resources. From our commitment to safe well drilling practices to providing sustainable water solutions, we take pride in serving our community with integrity and care. This week - we'll be sharing tips on water well testing and well maintenance, as well as information on policies impacting groundwater quality and supply. We look forward to joining others in our industry to spread awareness about #groundwater, with a goal to create more conscious commitments to its preservation for the future. #GroundwaterAwareness #WaterSustainability #WellDrilling #ResourcePreservation #NGAW
