@Adam Danyal, well put. One brief caption, A 1000+1 very good-to-learn lessons for every job seeker out there, Here's the visual metaphor I see, A carrot mostly hidden underground, representing "Having a skill." vs A carrot with much green foliage above ground but a small root, highlighting "having a degree." My interpretation Having a Skill: The larger part of the carrot is hidden underground, symbolizing the depth and substance of practical skills. It suggests that skills provide real value, even if they aren't immediately visible or recognizable from outward. Having a Degree: The foliage above the ground symbolizes the visible recognition and status that comes with having a degree. Nevertheless, the actual substance (the carrot root) is smaller, indicating that a degree might not always equate to practical, valuable skills. So what? Focus on your skills! Developing and honing skills is more crucial and beneficial in the long run than just having a degree. Putting it this way isn't to downplay a degree. A degree can provide recognition and open doors. However, the true value lies in the practical skills one possesses and can apply effectively. #skills #workplace #workplacesuccess #employeesuccess #careersuccess Let's Connect @everyone

A while ago I had reached out to Kevin G. Libuit, thanking him for all the great work he and Prof Andrew Page have done with "The Bioinformatics Lab" podcast. The podcast was how I was introduced to PHA4GE and the Microbial Bioinformatics Hackathon, amongst many other useful resources and illuminating perspectives. Needless to say, it happens to be one of my favorite podcasts. So, to be invited as a guest on it to talk about my career journey is a huge honor and great pleasure; thank you Kevin, once again, for this incredible opportunity. I hope this podcast will be helpful to some of the early career professionals in the field of Bioinformatics, and if you have any questions or need any help/guidance from me, please feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn! #bioinformatics #thebioinformaticslab #podcast #earlycareer
