Bioinformatics vs Molecular Biology

There’s something about Mondays and the fresh start of the week. Maybe it’s the perfect time to see your strengths and quirks a little more clearly. Who’s to say how you should be defined, anyway? From a bachelor's in bioinformatics, a master's in molecular microbiology and immunology to a PhD bridging molecular microbiology and bioinformatics. Since then, I’ve been calling myself a molecular microbiologist. But honestly, I do not fit neatly into traditional labels, but that's where my strength lies. As an applied bioinformatician in the microbiology realm, I merge tech expertise with practical insights, creating a valuable synergy. So yeah, “micro-informatics” sounds about right. And the “micro” makes perfect sense with my 156 cm! 👩🔬🔬💻 #MicroInformatics #InterdisciplinarySkills
