"ManaShanti Chaibar" exemplifies a narrative of resilience, determination, and industrious spirit. Bapu Narute, a dedicated primary teacher, nurtured a dual passion for education and entrepreneurship. Despite the constraints of his teaching career, his wife Sonali became the harbinger of his entrepreneurial aspirations. Their journey, however, was fraught with challenges, notably exacerbated by the disruptive impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hailing from Kazad village in Pune district, Bapu, along with his wife Sonali, embarked on their entrepreneurial odyssey after Sonali initiated a school franchise and later ventured into the tea business. Adversity struck when the pandemic forced closures, leading to financial strain and the cessation of income streams. Undeterred, the couple persevered, conceptualizing 'ManaShanti Chaibar' during the lockdown, capitalizing on the burgeoning demand for jaggery tea premixes. With limited resources and no physical storefront, they innovatively devised a business model, offering franchising opportunities without upfront charges. Through meticulous experimentation, they perfected their premix formula, resonating with consumers seeking convenience and quality. Despite initial setbacks, the enterprise gained traction, catalyzing their transition to profitability. Amidst the pandemic's upheaval, they honed their business acumen through online programs, augmenting their marketing prowess and strategic insights. Leveraging digital platforms and emphasizing product quality, they expanded their reach beyond Maharashtra, establishing a presence in 27 states. Today, boasting an array of 48 tea flavors crafted from premium organic jaggery, their monthly turnover exceeds 1.50 crore, with ambitious projections aiming for 100 crores within six months. A poster can change your life. Hailing from the drought-hit region of Sholapur in Maharashtra, Arun Awtade came across a BYST poster when looking for a loan. Awatade had started his business with a small capital amount but BYST helped secure working capital and mentored him throughout his journey. Today, Iris Polymers has an annual turnover of more than 20 crore. Arun introduced mulching film products to farmers, helping them conserve water. The farmers benefited from this technique, resulting in greater yield, weed control and a decrease in the need for intense cultivation. The most important outcome? 60-70% savings on water were achieved – an important need for the region. The experience of entrepreneurs are shaped by their origins.
