MBA (PGP BL) - IIM Kozhikode Co'25| ex Collins Aerospace | ex Whirlpool Corporation | Mechanical Engineer | ME Design Engineering, BITS PILANI | GATE Mechanical 98+percentile | Equity - Swing trader
It's September, and placement season has kicked off at most IIMs and IITs. Some are anxious about landing high-paying jobs, others are focused on finding the right roles, and many are juggling the pressures of placement prep alongside demanding acads. Last month, I revisited Pune after 11 months, which brought back memories of a time when I felt completely lost. Around this time last year, I had resigned from my job without another offer in hand, no B-school admission, and I hadn’t even taken the GRE yet. As I walked along the familiar roads, I recalled the frustration I felt—being stuck when things didn’t go as planned, calling my parents in confusion, and wondering why everyone else seemed to be moving ahead while I struggled. I applied to a few companies but faced rejections, which made me question my self-worth. However, before my notice period ended in September, I received offers from two of the largest aerospace companies—both for better roles. It was an unexpected turning point, especially since I hadn’t even applied to these companies through any job portal. Recently, after my Operations Management class at Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, I spoke with Professor Arqum Mateen. I shared how much I enjoyed his class and told him about narrowly missing out on admission to NITIE Mumbai (now IIM Mumbai) for Industrial Engineering in 2017. He said something that really resonated with me: “Saumil, you are exactly where you're meant to be. If you had gone to NITIE, you wouldn’t be here at IIM.” It made perfect sense. While I was once focused on operations, my interests have since evolved in multiple directions. These two incidents have made me realize that while it's important to work to secure good placements, it doesn't make sense to stress too much about it. We all eventually end up where we truly belong—if not immediately, then in the long run. Have you ever had moments where things didn’t go as planned, but with time, turned out for the best? #iimstories #bschool_stories #placements

Product - Nucleus Software | IIM Nagpur | | Sharing Real Experiences | Ex - Placecom | Strategy - Takshashila Consulting | Brand Management - Nivia Sports | Ex Infosys
One of the initial mails we got after joining Indian Institute of Management Nagpur was Orientation Schedule which included Team Building Exercises and Business Simulation. During my work at Infosys I was familiar with the term but the excitement was different all together. This was the first group interaction of IIM. So why is it there ? Team building activities at the start of an MBA program offer several benefits that are crucial for fostering a collaborative and effective learning environment. Here are some key advantages: 1. 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭: Team building activities help students build trust and form bonds early on. This is essential for creating a supportive network where students feel comfortable sharing ideas. 2. 𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: By engaging in team building, students learn the value of working together and leveraging each other's strengths. This collaborative culture is beneficial throughout the program. 3. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: Team building exercises often include scenarios that require problem-solving and conflict resolution. Students learn how to manage disagreements constructively, an essential skill in both academic and professional settings. 4. 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: Team building activities provide a platform for students to get to know their peers in an informal setting, helping them build a strong professional network that can be valuable during and after the MBA program. 5. 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬: MBA programs attract students from diverse backgrounds. Team building activities help students appreciate and understand different perspectives, which is crucial for effective teamwork and problem-solving in a global business environment. By incorporating team building activities at the start of an MBA program, institutions can create a strong foundation for a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic learning environment. #TeamBuilding #MBALife #IIMNagpur #Networking #Collaboration #Diversity #BusinessEducation #ProfessionalDevelopment #ConflictResolution #GlobalPerspective #StudentLife #MBAJourney

HRBP - @AkzoNobel GBS | ex- @Bajaj Auto Ltd | MIT WPU | Driving Strategic Growth through People Management
Two years of MBA summed up! MIT WPU to Bajaj Auto Ltd ✅️ Reflecting on the incredible journey over the past two years, I am filled with a profound sense of accomplishment and gratitude. Managing both college and office simultaneously was a daunting challenge, but one that brought immense satisfaction. The balancing act between assignments, presentations, submissions, exams, and corporate responsibilities pushed me to my limits, teaching me invaluable lessons in time management and resilience. These two years of MBA at MIT School of Business can be summed up in one unforgettable picture. Adjusting to Pune, a city that soon felt like home, I experienced personal and professional growth in ways I never imagined. Tackling over 35+ subjects, while juggling multiple internships and jobs at Tarkashastra Academy, Salespin , Wing Assistant and Bajaj Auto Ltd was no small feat. Each subject, each project, and each job contributed to a rich tapestry of learning and experience. The journey was not without its hardships. There were relocations and shifts, moments of breakdown, but also moments of joy and deep connection. Friendships forged in the crucible of shared struggles, memories made in the midst of hectic schedules, and the unyielding support from mentors, friends, and family made it all worthwhile. My time at MIT was transformative. It was here that I truly grew, not just academically, but in my career and as a person. These experiences have shaped who I am today and have prepared me for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who supported me throughout this journey! #MBALife #PostGraduation #Achievement #Growth #MIT #Bajaj #Pune
