Think of brands as the thoughts behind the things we buy. When we choose a brand, we're choosing a feeling or idea that makes us feel good and respected. That's why people are willing to pay extra for certain brands, even though making the product doesn't cost that much. Brands have to work hard to show what they stand for through ads and marketing. If people don't get what a brand is about, it won't be valuable to them.
