🔊 The best leaders have a special skill: they listen twice as much as they talk. In a world full of noise, being a good listener is an advantage. Why? Because when you listen: ➡️ You capture valuable ideas that others miss. ➡️ You build trust within your team. ➡️ You foster innovation by valuing every voice. A leader who listens not only leads, but inspires. Here's the challenge for you: Next time you're in a meeting or conversation, pause, listen, and learn. Because the most meaningful answers don't always come from leadership... but from the team. Are you willing to try it? 🤔 #Leadership #ListeningIsPower ------ I'm Bhavna, and at Mindslines we support human resources departments in implementing development programs for emerging leaders. 👉 Contact me to share our free tool to measure the return on investment of your development programs and our Leadership Companion, an AI-based tool to support the leaders of your company in their challenges.

Authority - like trust - is earned, not taken. Other people decide whether to respect or trust us as leaders; we can't control what they decide. But what we CAN control is how we act in all the little moments throughout our interactions - how we make decisions, how we communicate, the words we choose, the systems we employ, the way we support our teams, how consistent we are in our words and actions, how agile we are, how sharp our emotional intelligence is, what motivates us, how deeply we listen, which values we act on, and so forth. Two traits I've been examining lately, in terms of how they build trust and inspire respect, are authenticity and credibility. I think both of these words get a bad rap - and maybe that's because they've been overused to the point of misinterpretation. But would you ever call someone a good leader if they WEREN'T authentic or credible? No way. Clearly, they're important - we just have to figure out why they matter and how we can sharpen these skills and use them for good. In my latest blog post, I dive into these areas of leadership and how we can a) spot effective leaders in the wild and b) improve our leadership skills to better serve those around us. Great leaders don't just provide answers—they ask the right questions. Thoughtful questions unlock profound insights, challenge the status quo, and drive innovation. We empower our teams to think critically and find new solutions by fostering curiosity and encouraging diverse perspectives. Questions like What haven’t we considered? How might we do this differently? Stimulate creative thinking and push boundaries. They show humility, signalling that we don’t have all the answers and value every voice in the room. Mastering the art of questioning sets great leaders apart in today's fast-paced world. It’s not just about finding solutions—it’s about leading with curiosity and creating a culture of continuous learning. What questions have led to your biggest insights? #Leadership #DishanSays

Leadership isn't just about being in the spotlight; it's about supporting your team from behind. True leadership is rooted in service. Here are 5 signs that show you're a leader who serves: ➡️ You listen more than you speak. ➡️ You celebrate the team’s successes, not just your own. ➡️ You empower others to shine and grow independently. ➡️ You see yourself as a mentor, not just a boss. ➡️ Your go-to question is: "How can I support you?" A great leader doesn’t seek recognition—they find fulfillment in watching their team succeed. Do any of these resonate with you? 🤔 #Leadership #TeamSupport #GrowthMindset ----- I'm Bhavna, and at Mindslines we support human resources departments in implementing development programs for emerging leaders. 👉 Contact me to share our free tool to measure the return on investment of your development programs and our Leadership Companion, an AI-based tool to support the leaders of your company in their challenges.

Transformation is big word! When I first began studying transformation I found myself replacing the word with ‘change’ because I felt ‘change’ was easier to understand. In my experience as a Mom, Employee, or Goalkeeper Coach, I use the word ‘change’ all the time. The equation was fairly easy. Stop what you’re doing. Start doing this. And then Change will happen. STOP slapping your hands on the ball and START making a “W” with your thumbs and index fingers behind the ball, bend your elbows, and breath as the ball comes into your gloves. And then you’ll see a Change in how many shots you catch. HOWEVER.. Transformation doesn’t work that way. Transformation takes more effort, precision, focus, and resilience. Instead of changing the way you catch a soccer ball, Transformation would be becoming a NEW goalkeeper as a whole: mental toughness, physical fitness, technical abilities, strategic awareness, and leadership presence. At Groundwork Leadership, we define Transformation as a fundamental shift in the way we See, Think, and Behave OR a shift towards our positive potential. Now apply Transformation to Leadership and we have an entirely new and exciting way to lead and impact those we serve. An exciting shift towards our positive potential. We’ve developed and researched 7 conditions that help us build a foundation on transformational principles that will coach any leader in their leadership journey towards becoming a Transformational Leader with Transformational Impact on their families, organizations, and communities. Transaction vs Transformation In this forum, and with leaders all over, I talk about a transformational gesture called the ‘Hongi’. This is a powerful gesture used indigenously and in modern day to share the breath of life with another human being. I invite leaders to metaphorically ‘Hongi’ with their families, organizations, and communities. The Hongi invites us all to break out of transactional behaviors and processes in order to transform our relationships and communities. How many of us get caught “going through the motions” in our LIFE and LEADERSHIP? If you’re anything like me, it’s a constant battle! I consult, train, and develop leaders to become Transformational Leaders in their homes, organizations, and communities. Looking for something to pull you out of transactional habits and processes in your life? Take my course on Foundations for Life and Leadership! No matter where you are on your leadership journey, I promise this course will inspire you and help you build a foundation on vital corner stones we need as leaders to bear the burdens of leadership and drive transformational impact. Type TRANSFORMATION in the comment box and I’ll send you the info to register for the course and join the Groundwork Leadership community! #leadership #transformationalleadership #leadershipdevelopment #leader #growth #neverstoplearning #onlinecourses #transformation

🖐️ Call for contemporary methods Want to know the “secret” of how we can grow and develop leaders in a sustainable way? We need to grow their cups, not just try to fill their existing ones. Bigger cups can hold more, right? Through years of executive coaching, I've discovered that vertical development - expanding a leader's capacity to handle complexity and uncertainty - is the true catalyst for transformation. This isn't about traditional leadership “training.” It's about contemporary methods. We need to fundamentally re-wire how leaders think and operate through my Three Pedals of Excellence model: - Performance - Growth - Wellbeing Because when we focus on expanding capacity, there’s more room for leaders to stretch and not snap. 5moAbsolutely, If you just talk, you're loosing the opportunity to understand what the other person wants. In sales, this is specially rellevant, as we should offer to our customers what they really need. The importance of listening is fundamental, that's why God gave us one mouth and two ears, 😊 Thanks for sharing Bhavna Karani!
