We're kicking off September – National Council on Aging's #NationalSeniorCenterMonth – by taking a look back at the EDA designed Midvale and Draper Senior Centers. Providing a modern Senior Center experience, both served as a paradigm shift in senior center design for Salt Lake County. The programming and design of these facilities promote active aging; responding to the needs of a new generation of seniors while providing the services required by the older generations. Each draws inspiration from hospitality design and provides open, light-filled space to meet the needs of all users.
