Thrilled to be featured on 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐠 in their article "𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭" Stomach cancer treatment typically involves a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, depending on the cancer's stage and location. Surgical options may include partial or total gastrectomy, where part or all of the stomach is removed. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲 uses drugs to target and kill cancer cells, and may be administered before surgery (neoadjuvant) to shrink the tumor or after surgery (adjuvant) to eliminate remaining cancer cells. Radiation therapy uses high-energy beams to destroy cancer cells and may be used in conjunction with surgery and chemotherapy. Targeted therapies and immunotherapies are emerging treatments that focus on specific genetic mutations or enhance the body's immune response to cancer. Early detection and a multidisciplinary approach are crucial for effective management and improved outcomes. The stomach cancer treatment market is expanding due to rising incidence rates and advancements in medical technology. Cancer, a formidable adversary to human health, has spurred the development of a range of therapies over the years. Conventional approaches such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, and immunotherapy are known to prolong the lives of cancer patients. However, it’s becoming increasingly clear that these treatments, while offering some benefits, often come at the cost of toxic side effects and limited success rates, especially in late-stage cancers. As the medical community continues to explore new horizons, emerging technologies offer promising alternatives that could reshape the way we approach cancer treatment. In this article, we’ll delve into the limitations of conventional cancer therapies, explore the potential of early-stage detection methods, and highlight the significance of innovative approaches like oncolytic virus therapy and minimally invasive surgery. 📚 Read more in our blog post and leave a comment! 🌐 https://lnkd.in/dNUKYsHB #virotherapy #cancerawareness #cancerprevention #modernmedicine #healthchallenge

Prostate cancer screening and treatment: from PSA to PSMA. Are we now at the verge of re-introducing such screening programs for all or looking at risk-based assessment ? “A risk-adapted strategy for identifying men who may develop PCa is advised, generally commencing at 50 yr of age and based on individualised life expectancy. The use of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging in order to avoid unnecessary biopsies is recommended. When a biopsy is considered, a combination of targeted and regional biopsies should be performed. Prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography imaging is the most sensitive technique for identifying metastatic spread. Active surveillance is the appropriate management for men with low-risk PCa, as well as for selected favourable intermediate-risk patients with International Society of Urological Pathology grade group 2 lesions.”
