My 2 year Logz.io Anniversary 🎉 Reflecting on the past two years, I am grateful for the invaluable lessons and experiences gained during my time at Logz.io. 🥹 Incredibly honored to have been made Co-Founder of HUMANOO 🙏 Though I joined the company after a few years of existence, I look back at the last 4 years with many emotions, from pride to joy, a fair amount of amazement and most importantly gratitude. 😲 When Philip and I first spoke in May 2020, I remember thinking this guy must be completely crazy to consider giving my then-28-year-old self such an opportunity with this first CEO position. But the more I learned about Humanoo and its people; about Philip and his vision; about our market and its opportunities, the more the excitement took over the imposter syndrome. 💛 I joined Humanoo when we were a bit more than 30 people, and had just opened our second market beyond Germany... Switzerland... my home country. I remember vividly going through Zurich main station, a few days before my first day, and seeing commercials for Helsana Coach (our product... on every screen 🤯) and calling Philip to confirm that this was indeed HUMANOO behind it... I could not believe it 🚀 Now, we are a team of 80+ amazing individuals, building the future of Wellbeing as part of a huge group like TELUS... Humanoo is in more than 10 markets and it's just the beginning. This is all thanks to amazing people like Dilyana, Kim, Marco, Denys, Christoph, Manuel, Fabian and Michael, who have agreed to trust me and Philip enough and joined us on our vision! ✅ Taking your first executive position is never an easy task, but I succeeded by having the right support, the right team, the right partner... and a fair amount of grit! Thanks to all who helped me, were patient with me over the years! 🙏 My deepest gratitude obviously goes to Philip. Your vision has lifted this company off the ground, your drive, motivation, spirit and quite frankly your grit have kept us on course. We've been through thick and thin... and God knows I've not always gone easy on you. And when you mentioned I should be made "Co-Founder", I was moved to tears. 📜 Get that degree - because #EducationStillMatters In today’s world, it’s clear that traditional education isn’t always a top priority for many. It’s disheartening when those with qualifications find themselves jobless while their "papers" gather dust. This is even more apparent in creative fields like mine, where hands-on experience often takes precedence over hours spent in a classroom. These thoughts often cross my mind when I consider whether pursuing further education is worth it. Yet, after some reflection, I find myself leaning toward going back to school for a few key reasons: 1. Principles ✍️ Through trial and error, I’ve learned valuable lessons, but this approach has its limitations. While it works for some projects, others leave me frustrated and uncertain. Formal education offers principles and roadmaps that can guide my creativity more effectively, helping me make informed decisions. 2. Vision 🎯 I know I won’t stay in my current position forever. To grow and rise through the ranks, higher education becomes essential. Yes, there are exceptions, but having a solid educational foundation instills confidence and ensures we truly know what we’re doing. 3. Opportunities 🚀 As the saying goes, “Education is the key to unlocking the world, a passport to freedom.” It levels the playing field and opens doors to opportunities we might otherwise miss, removing limits to what we can achieve.
