Data Analyst | Tableau Desktop Specialist | Business Intelligence & Analytics | Master's in Business Analytics
This is such a cruel way to take advantage of people's desperation for clickbait. Some people are going through real struggles, particularly international students who are running out of time to find a job, and there are comfortable people sitting in their living rooms and thinking of ways to give us false hope. Most people who have a REAL role to share would post the role, say whether or not it's on their team, and a link to apply. In some cases, even offer referrals. This post has 500+ comments of people commenting "interested" in hopes that it will connect them to a life-changing opportunity, but I doubt someone with a full-time job, even on the weekends, is going to go through all those comments and profiles to "pick the right candidate." I usually keep my feelings about these things to myself, but seeing this knowing the frustration we're going through as international job seekers, upsets me deeply. To my fellow international students, I don't blame you at all but please don't be conned by these people. - You deserve a good job that comes with good benefits. - You deserve to work in a great company that will invest in you (legally too). - You deserve a company that doesn't take advantage of your desperation. - You deserve to feel safe and secure in your next role. and, - You deserve to be recognized for your qualifications and compensated accordingly. It's incredibly hard right now I know but I pray we find that job that will open doors we never thought possible for us🙏🏽 As for everyone else, please be empathetic with your responses and words of advice. Understand that for us, there are legal hoops we need to jump through that citizens and green card holders don't. And if you don't know enough, there are numerous resources out there. I'd rather you say "I don't know" than give me blind advice. We as human beings need to do better. LinkedIn, do better. God bless. #internationalstudent #jobseekers
If you are looking for entry level data analytics role in US, please write “interested” in the comments and I will reach out to you if you are shortlisted.

Sr. Data Analyst @ Transurban | Progressing all things working in the data field | Aspiring Data Engineer
Who are the top paying companies in Australia for jobs in the data field? 📈 Only the Government/ATO truly knows. However, I was curious so dug into a publicly available Kaggle dataset, focusing on the big 3: Data Scientist, Data Analyst, and Data Engineer roles. This covers over 800 jobs from 125 companies. While the top and bottom 5 companies seem lesser-known, many of the big names are included and it's interesting to see how each company stacks up against each other. Curious to see the full list? Like this post and shoot me a DM to access the complete analysis. #Data #DataJobs #Analytics #CareerGrowth

All data is dirty! Clean data doesn’t exist. If you have users, if you have a support team, if you have sales, there will always be something that happens that makes the data dirty. No Eng team can fix that, no data contract can fix it, no machine learning can fix it. Data is dirty and that is why data modeling and data analytics exist. They reason about the dirtiness and help drive decisions. This is why I look at the Data Analyst as the most important role in the company. Waiting for clean data is waiting for New York to stop having scaffolds. It won’t happen any time soon, so why not enjoy New York in all its scaffolded beauty in the meantime? #data #dataanalysis #analytics #businessanalytics #datamodelling

Data analysis or ability to make sense of the data ( to get a first sense of whether it is fit for use for specific use case as well as dive into it) is an essential but unappreciated skill in so many data teams. This post is a reminder that data value chain is incomplete without our data analyst friends. #dataanalysis #data #dataanalyst #ai #ml #datacleaning

Empowering Business through make smarter and faster decisions through Data | Business Intelligence Expert | Data Visualization | Data Analytics | Automation | Excel | Power BI | MySQL |
The Tale of Two Business Owners Once upon a time there were two small business owners, Jack and Jill. They both ran local stores selling shoes 👞👟. Jack wanted to increase his sales and profits. He decided to hire a data analyst, Lucy, to study his business's numbers and find ways to improve. Lucy looked at Jack's customer 👥, sales 💰, and inventory 👟 data. She discovered more people bought shoes on weekends and profits dropped in winter months. Using this data, Lucy gave Jack smart tips: Run weekend sales to boost customers, and stock more winter boots 🥾 in the colder months. By following Lucy's data-driven advice, Jack increased his customers 👥 and saw his profits rise! 📈 He was very happy he had hired a data analyst to help his business. Meanwhile, Jill did not consult any data analysts. She did not track her numbers or use data to guide decisions. Without data insights, Jill just guessed at what might improve her sales. But she did not see any increase in customers or profits.📉 Jill wished she had made the wise choice to hire a data analyst like Jack did! The tale shows hiring a data analyst, like Lucy, can give you the business edge! Their data skills reveal hidden trends 📈 you would miss otherwise. This was something to address via a repost in my opinion. 800 dashboards, may be source of insights for some. Many dashboards = lots of different ways of pulling insights. The rapid growth of dashboards can lead to redundancy, inefficiency and data costs. I wonder how much cost-savings could be made if the following was looked into at regular intervals: -Are they still relevant? -Do they serve a purpose? -Is there replication between dashboards? -Do they provide value? -Are they being used? -What is the impact on stakeholders' experience? Can they find what they need? For me personally, reviewing usage, standardising, focusing on value and objectives is crucial. BI should not be focused on output and review strategy when the number of dashboards becomes difficult to manage. If businesses set themselves a part by the amount of dashboards not their quality, that's a sign that BI processes/strategy need to change.
I once applied for a Data Analyst job at a small company (less than 200 people), and the hiring manager said "We have great data - it's clean, all in one place. And we have over 800 dashboards in Looker." 😮 Are you running away from this? Or would you be excited to start? #data #analytics #dashboards
