Board of Directors AmCham, Austromed/ Passion for Politics / Public Health / Innovation for a better Healthcare
Innovation and technological progress takes place every day. These advances usually have a significant impact on processes that now work even better or more efficiently, or were previously not possible at all. When innovations take place in the field of cardiovascular disease, it is progress for all of us. #Cardiovasculardisease is the number one cause of death. Of course, when these technological innovations happen in healthcare, it's especially wonderful because it's usually accompanied by a significant improvement in treatment options for patients, suffering can be improved, and people with serious illnesses can live largely normal lives. A few weeks ago, a great team at #ViennaGenera Hospital was one of the first hospitals in Europe to implant such an innovation in a patient. The #ORF accompanied this with a camera and Martin Andreas then (with the patient's consent, made the procedure even more tangible and explained it in detail) Minimally invasive surgery has the advantage that the patient can leave the hospital relatively quickly and has an extremely short recovery time. Open heart surgery, on the other hand, would take hours and the patient would have to stay in hospital for weeks. I am always amazed by medicine and my greatest respect goes to the people in the operating room who do their best and save lives every day. A big thank you to the amazing team at #Medtronic for making this possible and working tirelessly every day. Thanks to #ORF, who make this event tangible. Austria is at the forefront of new innovations in healthcare and this is something we can be really proud of, despite all the challenges that currently exist. Join me on a journey through these technologies, which are not always tangible, but which I want to make more tangible in the coming weeks and months. Great #marvismonday share from our own Liz Collins!! Check out this case study and how Unimed Litoral leveraged Juniper Networks MIST AI and #ainative networking approach to streamline their organization and improve operational efficiencies!! #ai #ainativeetworking #junipernetworks #mist
Managing Technical Sales Specialist and Customer Service Advocate for AI-Driven Enterprise and Security Network Products and Services
It is once again #MarvisMonday for all of you who have been patiently waiting. 😎 Today I would like to introduce you to Unimed Litoral, a medical work cooperative in southern Brazil that offers urgent and emergency care for adults and children, diagnostic imaging, oncology, cardiology, orthopedics and robotic surgery, among other services. Because they had done away with paper and incorporated digital processes throughout their locations, they sought out a networking solution that offered optimal reliability, performance and capacity for business and life-critical applications, and was simple for the IT team to manage. They ended up working with Telefonica to decide on an #AI solution using Mist Systems #WiFi and switching. Since their deployment, they have been able to reduce their network related trouble tickets by 90%. Additionally, phone calls and pages are crystal clear across the network, staff has fast and reliable access to patient records and healthcare applications. And IT staff has visibility to users' experience so that issues can be resolved quickly and proactively. This leaves them lots of time to focus on their digital transformation. “Our AI-driven Juniper network has enabled Unimed Litoral to improve clinical communications and meet our growing digital needs as we extend the reach of our healthcare services.” Vinicius Florencio, Senior Infrastructure and Network Analyst at Unimed Litoral. Juniper Networks is proud to help companies like this and many others in their journey to achieve a reduction in complexity, and increase in reliability and revenue. How can we help you? #NetworkoftheNextDecade #AINative https://lnkd.in/ehb73zDx
