Help us raise money for a great cause! For millions of people living in rural, under-served communities, access to healthcare, education or job opportunities are severely restricted by limited mobility. World Bicycle Relief is working to solve that, having delivered nearly 800,000 Buffalo Bicycles to these communities around the world. These bikes are purpose-built for moving people and their cargo across rough terrain in the environments where they live. World Bicycle Relief has measured a 28% reduction in student absenteeism, an 88% increase in patient visits by health workers, and a 23% increase in farmer incomes as a result of providing their bikes to these communities. Not to mention, they’ve trained nearly 4,000 bike mechanics and opened 88 Buffalo Bicycle shops to provide skilled labor opportunities in these communities. We’re thrilled to be partnering with and raising money for World Bicycle Relief as part of Michael Nicholson and I competing in the Triple Bypass Ride in July. This legendary ride spans 118 miles through Colorado’s stunning Rocky Mountains, climbing nearly 11,000 feet in elevation over three mountain passes. As an avid road and gravel cyclist, it’s humbling to recognize that while I go out and ride my bike for fun, there are millions of people around the world where a bike can have a transformative impact on fulfilling their basic daily needs. When you donate a bicycle ($165) or any amount to World Bicycle Relief, you’re helping those under-resourced communities get the tools they need to conquer the challenge of distance.
