CIAO CIAO TASTE OF LONDON 👋 Big Mamma UK Rocks London's Ultimate Food & Drink Festival! 🎉 For the third year running, our Big Mamma UK team brought the house down at London's top foodie event! We served up tons of burrata, crispy fried lasagna, truffle spaghetti, and of course, our irresistible Lemon Pie. 🧀🍝🍋 It wasn't just about the food—this festival was a blast, bringing our Big Mamma spirit beyond the restaurants and strengthening our team bonds. Huge thanks to the Circolo Popolare London Squadra who smashed it with record results! 👏

Sharing a Taste of Ireland: Not a Secret Santa During our team meeting yesterday, our conversation took an unexpected turn, drifting towards chatting about local delicacies and culinary preferences. It was a nice detour from our usual agenda, signaling the fellowship and rapport within our team. Anyway, believe it or not, one of my colleagues confessed to never having tried traditional sea salt and malt vinegar Irish crisps! Well, I couldn't let that slide. After the call, I reached out to my colleague asking for his address so I could send a small taste of Ireland his way. A box filled with local delights is now on its way to Germany, a gesture that brings joy to both my colleague and myself. Plus, it's a great way to support small local businesses, which I always prefer when it comes to gourmet treats. Want to end this post with an important question (but without future commitment from my side): Have you already tried Irish malt vinegar and sea salt crisps? If not, consider this your invitation to give it a try! #SmallTalk #TeamBonding #SupportLocalBusiness

URGENT HELP NEEDED! ─ YORKSHIRE FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL ─ JULY 🔴 Founded in 2015, the three-day Yorkshire Food and Drink Festival expanded rapidly and now occupies a substantial site at Funkirk Farm, near Settle. 🔴 The Festival, which is held during the third weekend in July attracts over 30,000 visitors, 200 exhibitors and offers a diverse schedule of bands, street food, pop-up restaurants, workshops, food tasting and masterclasses from leading food and drink celebrities. 🔴 The Festival is estimated to generate around £7m for the local economy. 🔴 Unfortunately, the event in 2023 was seriously affected by flooding which led to unforeseen costs making the event loss making. This had a major impact on cash flow in the Company in the latter part of 2023 which continued into 2024 and with ticket revenue being behind where it should be at this time of year the difficult decision has been taken by the directors to cease trading. 🔴 Proposed Joint Liquidator Jonathan Amor, Head of Restructuring for Azets in Yorkshire said: “The Yorkshire Food and Drink Festival is the largest event of its kind in the UK and regarded for the contribution it makes to the local economy. Unfortunately, the business has been suffering from unsustainable financial problems and the directors decided that it would be in the best interests for all creditors for the Company to cease trading and be placed into liquidation. 🔴 Jonathan Amor added: “The Festival has now ceased trading and steps will be taken to market the assets for sale including the brand, intellectual property, digital platform, data and essential infrastructure such as marquees, tents and staging. 🔴 We ask that interested parties contact the Leeds office of Azets as soon as possible.” 🔴 Unless an interested party comes forward to resurrect the Festival unfortunately the event in July will not take place. Customers are encouraged to check with their credit or debit card providers if they can claim a refund by making a chargeback request on their purchase. https://lnkd.in/eFNtwFsT https://lnkd.in/eds5qsj5

Navigating the vibrant world of NYC's food festivals has taught me invaluable lessons. Here are the top three insights from my journey with the Bronx, Brooklyn, Uptown, Latin, and Vegan Night Markets: 1. Community Engagement: The heartbeat of every successful festival is its community. Understanding and integrating into the local fabric is not just important; it's essential. 2. Diverse Culinary Offerings: A wide variety of food attracts a diverse crowd. Embracing culinary diversity is key to creating an inclusive and appealing event for all attendees. 3. Operational Excellence: Smooth execution is the backbone of any event. Meticulous planning and attention to detail ensure that each festival is not only enjoyable but also safe and well-organized.

Western drinks have an inverse relation between serving size and alcoholic strength - you get big glasses of low abv beer, but tiny glasses of high abv spirits.⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀ But there's a different logic at play when it comes to sake. One very close to the Japanese heart - hospitality.⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀ The smaller the cup, the faster it empties, which gives others more chances to fill it for you - promoting friendly rounds of you-pour-for-me-I-pour-for-you and a chance to break into conversations by bringing over the bottle and pouring for others.⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀ So for sake, a small glass doesn't mean big abv, just big hospitality!⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀ #discoversake #sake #🍶

You can’t even begin to create The Ultimate Experience when this happens! The following is from a friend…: ‘I stayed at an airport hotel last wk. Got a voucher for 4 drinks cause the room smelt of damp. Went to the bar and said “one Coke and one lemonade” they said “sorry no lemonade it’s a brand standard!”’ 🤦♂️🤯 Once you’re done cringing, join me in trying to work this out… So… 🤔 The team member has a belief that lemonade isn’t allowed. But Coke is. ❓Where has this belief come from? It isn’t a brand standard. I can be sure of that! I’d be asking myself as a leader: 💭 “What am I saying or doing to get my team thinking like this?” 💭 “What can I do to empower my team member to be ok with giving away a lemonade even without a drinks voucher?” 💭 “How do my actions drive the culture within my team?” 💭 “What impact does this have on how we deliver hospitality to our guests?” …. And so many more questions! If you were the leader of this F&B team, how would you respond to this? My Ultimate Experience workshop helps team members to connect with guests on a meaningful human to human level and I’d be happy to share info with anyone intrigued! #CustomerService #Hospitality #Empowerment #GuestInteraction

Happy Monday, pub owners and hospitality enthusiasts! 🎉 As we start a new week, let's focus on a key strategy that can dramatically impact our businesses: celebrating and promoting what we do best. 📣Why It Matters: In the competitive world of hospitality, standing out is crucial. Your pub’s unique offerings—whether it’s an unbeatable craft beer selection, live music nights, gourmet pub food, or exceptional customer service—deserve to be highlighted. Shouting about these successes not only attracts more customers but also builds a loyal community. 💪How to Showcase Your Strengths: Social Media: Use platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to share updates, special events, or features that make your pub special. High-quality photos and engaging stories can capture the essence of your pub’s atmosphere. 📫Community Engagement: Participate in community events or sponsor local sports teams. This increases your visibility and reinforces your commitment to the community. 😀Customer Testimonials: Encourage your happy customers to leave reviews or share their experiences on social media. Word-of-mouth is powerful, and personal testimonials can sway potential customers to visit. 🍷Unique Promotions: Create promotions that highlight your strengths. For example, if you’re known for your ales, host a tasting event with local brewers or offer a “brewer’s special” night. ✅Real-Life Example: The Village Ale House turned their quiet Monday nights into a bustling hub by promoting their 'Local Brew Mondays,' where guests enjoy discounts on locally sourced beers. They used social media to spotlight the brewers and their stories, which not only drew in beer lovers but also fostered a sense of community and support for local products. What unique aspects of your pub do you celebrate? How do you promote these features to your audience? Share your strategies and successes in the comments below. Let’s inspire each other and kick off the week on a high note! #PubPromotion #HospitalitySuccess #MondayMotivation
