Don’t forget to vote today! Polling stations will be open from 7am – 10pm. Some helpful information 💡 ❗ Details of where to vote can be found on your poll card letter. ❗ Don’t forget to bring photo ID! Don’t worry if your ID is out of date. You can use out of date photo ID if it still looks like you, and the name is the same as the one you used when you registered to vote. ❗ Polling stations will be open from 7am – 10pm. If you’re in the queue at 10pm (with accepted photo ID) you will be allowed to vote. ❗ If you forget to bring your ID, you’ll be asked to return with an accepted form of ID before a ballot paper can be issued. ❗ Acting as a proxy for someone? You’ll need to go to their polling station to cast their vote. You’ll also need to bring your own photo ID. ❗ Campaigning on polling day is allowed, as long as it’s not within the perimeter of a polling station building. Expect to see lots of activity from parties and candidates.

Fellow scribes, it's time to use our powers for good! There is *still time* to write letters to underrepresented voters around the country to encourage them to vote and help them learn how! Vote Forward is a *nonpartisan* get-out-the-vote effort through which you "adopt" batches of voters to write to. The org gives you all the information you need: You just download, print, write, stamp, and mail the letters. I (finally) stopped procrastinating and got mine done last night, and it felt great to know I did something, however small, to help people take advantage of their right to choose who represents them in Washington and closer to home.
