🤔Are You Just Showing Up, or Are You Focused? 💪Today at the gym, one of the trainers asked if I’d be back tomorrow. I laughed and said, “No, I'm too lazy—three days is enough.” 😳He replied, “Some people come every day, but they're not like you.” 🤔Curious, I asked what he meant. 🏖He said, “They focus more on their phones than their exercise. They chat like they're on holiday… but when you come, you're focused. No distractions, just work, work, work.” 😎It reminded me that people are always watching. 🚶♂️➡️Everywhere we go, we’re a walking, talking brand of ourselves. This is something I teach in my Executives Coaching Service, you're always being observed, and how you show up matters. Whether at the gym, in the boardroom, or in daily interactions, we’re constantly making an impression. So, are you just going through the motions, or are you showing up with purpose and intention? Remember, people notice. Make sure what they see reflects your best self. #PersonalBranding #ExecutiveCoaching #FocusAndDiscipline #LeadershipMindset #ProfessionalDevelopment #ShowUpWithPurpose #CoachWithPaul

Helping Working Professionals Improve Their Overall Well-being | Head Coach and Co-founder 6262 Fitness | Coach At Reebok Running Squad, Mumbai
Unpopular opinion, but fitness can actually improve your public speaking skills. Ever noticed how confident athletes seem on stage? It is not just about their physique; it’s also about the mental strength and discipline they have developed through training. So, how does fitness translate to better public speaking? 1. Confidence: Regular workouts boost self-esteem, making you feel more comfortable in front of a crowd. 2. Body Language: Fitness improves posture and body awareness, leading to more engaging presentations. 3. Stress Management: Exercise helps reduce anxiety, a common public speaking fear. 4. Discipline: Consistent workouts build discipline, a valuable trait for delivering structured speeches. Have you ever felt nervous during a presentation? How did you overcome your anxiety? #fitness #publicspeaking #leadership #confidence #success

The Brand Coach 🟨🟨🟨 | I coach brand, marketing & comms leaders to thrive through challenge and change | Co-Active Coach | Ex CMO, Strat & Transformation Director | Ex P&G, The Body Shop, Swedish Match
I’d never have dreamed of doing this a year ago (but I was really, really missing out!) I was brought up in an education system that rewarded my (left) brain 🧠 I was hired, and promoted, for being “smart” (intellectually, at least). I spent my days prioritising logic, data and the “right” answer. And yet the bit that always lit me up was the people. The messy, complex, joyfully irrational people. Crazy customers. Crazier teammates. 🤪 Yesterday, I was privileged to be part of a small group led through some breathwork and visualisation by the wonderful Tetiana Yavas (Tanya). Old me would have dismissed this as a load of old woo-woo. Or perhaps given it a go, but mainly just to relax and get a few 💤 But the more I study the neuroscience, and the more I practise (whether it’s yoga, breathwork, meditation, visualisation, embodied coaching etc), the more I am convinced by its power. If you find yourself, or your team, stuck too much in “thinking mode”, and are keen either individually or together to explore a more balanced and productive way forward, drop myself or Tanya a note. And, if you can, carve out a few minutes this weekend just to focus on Being (vs Thinking or Doing). Cc: amazing fellow coaches Yara Anabtawi, Varsha Lalwani and Berta Alsina Hernández who I was fortunate enough to share this experience with PS: the cat enjoyed it too! #Coaching #Marketing #PersonalDevelopment #TheBrandCoach ---------------------------------------------------- 🟨🟨🟨 Hi! I'm Sam, “The Brand Coach” (sing it just like “The Simp-sons”!). I coach marketers, from emerging leaders to CMOs. I post (mostly) about coaching, marketing and keeping things simple.

Did you know that the way athletes talk to themselves can make or break their performance? Self-talk isn’t just about staying positive—it’s a scientifically-backed strategy that top athletes use to elevate their game. Just like the example shown in this video. Self-talk refers to the internal dialogue we have with ourselves. For athletes, this can range from encouraging words to detailed instructions during intense moments. The key is in the type of self-talk: positive, instructional, and motivational. How Does It Work? Boosts Confidence: Positive affirmations like “I’ve got this” or “I am prepared” help athletes build and maintain self-belief, especially under pressure. Enhances Focus: Instructional self-talk, such as “Stay low, follow through,” helps athletes stay focused on technique and execution. Reduces Anxiety: Reassuring phrases like “Just breathe” or “Stay calm” help regulate emotions, keeping anxiety in check. Improves Performance: Research shows that athletes who consistently engage in positive self-talk perform better, as it enhances their mental resilience and sharpens their focus. Why Does It Matter? Self-talk isn’t just mental chatter—it’s a tool that can reshape an athlete’s mindset, turning doubts into confidence and fear into focus. The brain responds to the words we tell ourselves, and in high-pressure situations, this internal dialogue can be the difference between winning and losing. 📌 At Matter, we guide athletes and professionals alike in mastering their mindset through proven techniques like self-talk. Start transforming your inner dialogue today and watch how it impacts your performance. DM us to learn more about how we can help you thrive! #mindset #selftalk #athletes

Yesterday was my first day back in the gym in an uncomfortably long time. During my “hiatus” I’ve been less than kind to myself, offering little grace or understanding for the days upon days of no showing myself. As a creative at heart with a couple of music degrees and a penchant for the ole written word, the gym isn’t my natural habitat. I don’t know how real athletes approach their own hiatuses. But I should. I rep an NFL ProBowler (Justin Forsett), an ESPN sideline reporter (Lauren Sisler) and three Olympic Champions (Carly Patterson, Heather Moyse, and Connor Fields). Even my brother Vince was an Olympian. Joel Zeff recently introduced me to a very cool woman named Amber Selking, PhD who sent me her video about the neuroscience of peak performance. 10 minutes in I realized my thinking was busted. My approach to the gym (and all the other crap I beat myself up over) is only standing in the way of me actually doing it - nevermind doing it well. Mindset is my issue aka I think wrong things about me + exercise. Hello Captain Obvious. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I HEARD THIS IN MY LIFE AND CAREER?? If it took just one extra time to make it sink in, it was worth it. SPEAKERS: your message may be that “one extra time” someone needs for the obvious to click, their mindset to shift, and their life to transform. Those of us who need more times than others appreciate the repetition! #MindsetMatters #PeakPerformance #ProSpeaker #Resilience #SeeAgency

They say running a business is a marathon, not a sprint. But for me, it's both! Forget the CEO stereotype of endless meetings and late nights. My secret weapon? Daily training 🏋️ Whether it's hitting the gym, pounding the pavement, or conquering a new fitness challenge, staying active keeps me sharp and ready to tackle whatever the business day throws my way. Here's how my daily sweat session fuels my success as a leader: 👉 Sharper Focus: That post-workout clarity translates into strategic thinking and better decision-making. 👉 Stress Relief: There's nothing a good workout can't melt away. I return to the office feeling calm and collected, even after a challenging morning. 👉 Increased Energy: Forget the afternoon slump! Exercise boosts my energy levels, keeping me productive throughout the day. ⚡️ 👉 Discipline & Resilience: Pushing myself physically translates into a stronger mindset for pushing my business forward. Never give up! It's not about having all the time in the world. It's about prioritizing your well-being and finding an exercise routine that fits your schedule. Even 30 minutes a day can make a world of difference. #FitnessMotivation #BusinessLeadership #HealthyHabits P.S. Who else out there incorporates exercise into their daily routine? Activating conversations for better skills, experiences & workplaces. 3DLife Inc. Founder | L&D Facilitator | Certified Coach | Social Emotional Intelligence - Communication - Leadership - Workplace Safety & Belonging
Do you know what two critical skills help you have a more effective (and injury-free) workout? Awareness and discernment. During my yoga/strength routine this morning, I noticed my thoughts kept wandering to the day ahead in the middle of my “sets.” When I brought my attention back to what I was doing, I could feel that my form was off and I wasn’t using the muscles I was supposed to be to do the movement properly. Which, of course, can lead to undesirable tweaks and twists - and water down the results I’m looking for in the long run. (Don’t worry, I haven’t suddenly become a fitness expert!) But, it got me thinking about how paying attention and focusing on one thing at a time during a workout is the same as what we’re meant to do during team meetings and when we have individual conversations. How many times have you spoken with someone who is nodding their head as though they hear what you’re saying, but you can tell they’re not really listening to you? Or, how often have you sat in a meeting where people (maybe even you…no judgment here - I’ve done it, too) are attempting to multitask their way through it? It waters down relevance and intended impact, doesn’t it? Practicing #Awareness and discernment supports #EffectiveCommunication in any situation, and with anyone. With these simple (not always easy) #HumanSkills, you increase the chances of greater connection, understanding, meaning, problem-solving, outcomes, and sense of safety and belonging with those you come into contact with. Imagine what it would be like if you and everyone else in your organization did this - every single time you interacted? Better skills. Better experiences. Better workplaces. Early next month, I’ll be facilitating a half-day training session with an executive board looking to boost their communication skills so that they are more effective at achieving their organizational goals. I can’t wait! If you think this type of session could benefit you and your #Leadership team, I’d be happy to explore it with you. I promise I’ll use my awareness and focus muscles during our conversation.

What does a virtual HypnoBreathwork coaching session look like? Here’s a glimpse into the experience with one of my clients. Each virtual session begins with a 15-20 minute conversation focused on topics like workplace communication, interpersonal relationships, and navigating crucial conversations. This discussion helps us pinpoint specific areas of focus for the breathwork. Then, we transition to a 20-minute HypnoBreathwork session with instrumental music, all from the comfort of the client’s space. With an eye mask or blindfold and a yoga mat, clients are guided into deep mental clarity and alignment. They even have the option to turn off their camera for full immersion and privacy. The session wraps up by discussing the insights gained and establishing action steps. We set intentions for the next month, aligning conscious goals with subconscious motivations for impactful growth. Curious about how HypnoBreathwork can fit into your routine? Let’s connect! #virtualcoaching #hypnobreathwork #breathwork #workplacewellness #professionaldevelopment #mindsetcoach
