Awaiting planning decision for the re-generation of a brown field site on Terminus Drive near Pitsea Train Station to provide 217 high quality new homes. After a master planning study, a long break and revised brief, we took the initial feedback received both form the locals and the Council, and embarked on the design of a smart re-generation proposal on this circa 2ha brownfield site. Creating a high-quality residential neighbourhood adjacent an elevated dual carriageway and a waste facility presented the biggest challenge. Good site access and public transport connections, the nearby mainline train station enabled us to consider higher densities. We used the site access roads and parking zones to create buffers between the proposed buildings and the adjacent land uses. Provision of ample green spaces and a truly sustainable approach to both the site layout and the design of the buildings were key to achieve an outstanding proposal. Did you know❓ Webuild is currently delivering Rome Metro Line C, a major mobility infrastructure project that crosses Rome, running from the south-east to the north-west, connecting the city's suburbs to its historical centre.   Line C is not just a mode of transportation - it's a journey through history. This 26 km underground marvel connects the past and the present with 22 stations already operational.   Once complete, Line C will remove nearly 400,000 cars from the road, saving 310,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. Plus, with driverless trains and revolutionary archaeological techniques, this project is delivering sustainability and innovation, paving the way for the future of urban mobility and preservation.   Venezia Station, which is currently under construction, will be a feat of engineering, 45 meters below ground!
