Why We Must Protect Our Freedoms on Independence Day. The 4th of July is a day to reflect, remember, celebrate and protect our freedoms. From a historical perspective, the Declaration of Independence set forth a unique ideal which has become the cornerstone value of America; enshrining our rights to Life Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. We fought to achieve our Independence from forces without, and then from within to abolish slavery, women’s suffrage, and civil rights for all. But now we are challenged by politicians from within who seek to limit and stifle our rights to free speech by censorship and other acts. On this 248th birthday of our country, we must always reflect on the importance of our individual liberties, and fight to protect them for our future generations. #4thofjuly #independenceday #independenceday2024 #happy4thofjuly #happyfourthofjuly #freedom #freedomofspeech #freedomofpress #civilliberties #civilrights #freedomofreligion #freespeech #firstamendment #patriots #donaldtrump #maga #makeamericagreatagainagain #trumptrain #trumpsupporters #americanvalues #constitution #declarationofindependence #billofrights

Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States. It is celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States. The holiday's name is a portmanteau of the words "June" and "nineteenth", as it was on June 19, 1865, when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War. Although this date commemorates enslaved people learning of their freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation, this only applied to former Confederate states. There remained legally enslaved people in states that never seceded from the Union. These people did not gain their freedom until the ratification of the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution on December 6, 1865. #juneteenth #juneteenth2024 #freedom #Independence #racialequity

March 25th is the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery; it's a day to reflect on one of the darkest chapters in human history. Let us take a moment to remember the victims of slavery. Let's honor the courage of those who fought valiantly against that system. However, the United Nations reminds us that the dangers of racism and prejudice still exist. Don't you think that we are still prey to Neo Slavery? Issued 161 years ago today by President Abraham Lincoln, the #EmanicpationProclaimation marked a crucial turning point in the fight against slavery. Despite not ending slavery nationwide, it further ignited the path toward liberation. Before its creation, African Americans, enslaved and free, advocated for freedom through various means, pushing the nation towards a more inclusive manifestation of liberty. Their continuous fight ultimately led to the abolishment of slavery with the 13th Amendment in 1865. Today, as we work towards a more equitable South, let's draw inspiration from the resilience of those who fought for freedom and commit to dismantling the remnants of systemic inequities. Fortunately, however, there are people in this world who have gone about making the changes they thought necessary without violence or pure brute force, and these are the people that the International Day of Non-Violence celebrates. No matter where you live, there’s no denying that a day celebrating non-violent ways of making a statement and bringing about change is long overdue, and that these peaceful strategies for fighting injustice more than definitely deserve their own day. #Justice #International Peace #Non-Violence #

#thegreatdivide The political landscape of Canada and the USA. Republicans / Conservatives and Democrats / Liberals threaten to mirror the conflict/ war between Unionists and Loyalists in North Ireland. Throw in the conspiracy theory of the Great Replacement and the similarities between North Ireland and North America grow closer. Even religion is in play in North America’s polictcal landscaps which makes NA political Theatre more similar to that of North Ireland.

Happy Constitution Day! Today, we honor the bedrock of our great nation—the United States Constitution. This timeless document not only created a framework for governance but also enshrined the principles of liberty, individual responsibility, and limited government that continue to shape our republic. As a strong believer in these values, I am committed to upholding the ideals that have made America a beacon of freedom for over two centuries. Our Constitution serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting our God-given rights and ensuring future generations inherit the same freedoms we cherish today.
