There is a class at Colorado Christian University called "Advanced Objections to Christianity" and one of the assignments requires the students to poll nonbelievers, believers, and a pastor. The students ask this group of people what they think are the biggest objections/concerns regarding Christianity. The most common responses are: 𝟭. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹? 𝟮. 𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲/𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀' 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲? 𝟯. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝘆𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘆. 𝟰. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘆? 𝗢𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴/𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘁? There are variations to each of the issues above, but these were recurrent themes from the polls. What is interesting is that a recent book examines the 7 𝘔𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘨𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘘𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘎𝘰𝘥, the issues overlap as well. As indicated by the picture below, the seven questions are very similar to the issues raised above. Since these are questions about God, rather than objections, it makes sense that Christian hypocrisy would be missing. It similarly makes sense that there are questions (not objections) regarding the ability to have a relationship with God and whether there is any meaning to life. These are important questions we all wrestle with, or have wrestled with, or know someone who is wrestling with them. As many of you know, I find them to be incredibly important and enjoy discussing them and thinking through them. Those in the professional world should be aware that those around us also have these questions and how they answer them makes a difference in how we operate and relate in our different disciplines. Our "private" life and "public" life do overlap, even if we may be inconsistent at times. For those interested in some initial answers to these questions, you may be interested in The Christian Post article (that also discusses the book): https://lnkd.in/eWJf9qdg

💥💥 … HEY!! Wake up to this!!! — this is what THEY want!!! “The Seven Mountain Mandate, also Seven Mountains Mandate, 7M, or Seven Mountains Dominionism, is a dominionist conservative Christian movement within Pentecostal and evangelical Christianity. It holds that there are seven aspects of society that believers seek to influence: family, religion, education, media, entertainment, business, and government. Here are the seven “mountains” to be transformed, according to the seven mountain mandate: 1) Education 2) Religion 3) Family 4) Business 5) Government/Military 6) Arts/Entertainment 7) Media These seven sectors of society are thought to mold the way everyone thinks and behaves. So, to tackle societal change, these seven “mountains” must be transformed. The mountains are also referred to as “pillars,” “shapers,” “molders,” and “spheres.” Those who follow the seven mountain mandate speak of “occupying” the mountains, “invading” the culture, and “transforming” or “taking back” society. @hrexach
