When leaving Imperial College London a colleague said to me "It is a shame you won't be a scientist anymore". I was leaving to take the not insignificant risk of founding my first start-up and remember saying "With this decision I have chosen to practice the method more than ever". It is a humble process that is easy to write about and difficult to practice when it is most valuable. What is the most important question you don't yet have the answer to? What is the fastest, most effective way you can answer that question? How will you conduct the "experiment" to generate the data without bias? How will you analyse it? How will you define your next question? How will you create value from this practice? I am proud to say we have found our approach at Phytome Life Sciences
