As I reflect on the success of our 2024 Clean-up day initiative, some recurring thoughts are coming to my mind: 1) The responsibility to contribute Positive examples are crucial to inspire people towards a noble goal and, as a public entity, it is a must to role-model initiatives aimed at building a more sustainable world, 2) Contributing while bonding as a team Beyond the intrinsic social value, getting together as team for a noble cause creates stronger team bonding, a crucial element to enjoy our daily work and withstand challenges that the business environment can sometimes create, 3. The importance to visualize your objective As we are fortunate to live in one of the cleanest countries in the world, we were not really sure whether we would have had anything to clean up 😀. However, once we actively looked for it, we found a lot of misplaced trash! (including shoes and other curious items). Jokes aside, for me this represents a simple lesson: if you do not know what you are looking for, you are never going to find it. Being clear on our objectives is crucial to achieve them. If not, good ideas and great opportunities can slip away just because we were not aware these were the right one for us. In conclusion, I would like to thank all the participants for their commitment, hard work in a very hot day and above all, to make the atmosphere light and fun! From my side, I am proud of having contributed, and I am even prouder of being part of Daiichi Sankyo (Switzerland) 💪 👍 #proudtobeDSCH
👉 Successful Clean-Up Day: A Step Towards a Cleaner Planet 💚🌍 We are proud to announce the successful completion of our Clean-Up Day last Friday, 23rd August, a heartfelt initiative dedicated to making our environment cleaner. This event saw enthusiastic participation from our team members in Switzerland who came together with a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being. As part of the European initiative, the Clean-Up Day, our DSCH team worked hard to collect and properly dispose of waste in our local area, demonstrating the power of collective action. The dedication and hard work of our volunteers not only made a significant impact on our environment but also raised awareness about the importance of reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices. Together, we have taken a crucial step towards a cleaner and more sustainable future. Let's continue to support and participate in such initiatives, ensuring that our efforts contribute to a healthier planet. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this Clean-Up Day a resounding success! #CleanupDay #DaiichiSankyo #Teamwork #Wecareforeveryheartbeat #Companyvalues #Cardiology #Oncology #Companyculture #Companymission #Companyvision #Pharma #Zürich #Cleanerplanet CH/DSC/08/24/0001

🥂 We're continuing our 20th anniversary celebrations with the second video in our series honouring our life sciences ecosystem and how our community has grown. 🤔 In today's film, Luc Henry, Founder and CEO of Limula, summarises how a life sciences company affects and is affected by its environment: 'Now that I'm building a company, the more we advance, the more I realise that it's critical to foster the ecosystem – the talent and the people. The more people have been through the start-up journey, whether they're still in it as innovators or whether they're successful entrepreneurs, the more value it creates in the region.' 🙏 Thanks to Luc, Henri Kornmann (Head of Ferring Pharmaceuticals's Biologics Innovation Centre), Siew-Veena Sahi (Co-Founder and CEO of Testmate Health) and Pierre-Jean Wipff (Innovation and Partnerships Director here at Biopôle Lausanne) for their contributions to today's video.
