Did you know that we can use the 𝐀𝐈 to predict biogas production, gas cycles, bottlenecks for grid feeding and much more, ensuring a 100% optimised process?
This is all possible thanks to 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐳-𝐈𝐀!
Let's find out more about this tool with Joël Tanguy, President at NEVEZUS: https://bit.ly/49ejS9a
As regards artificial intelligence applied to the anaerobic digestion system, we know that you have a tool that has produced good results on a biomethane production site. Can you tell us more? Yes, we have developed a tool called Biogaz-IA, under the brand name Biogaz-IA, which uses new artificial intelligence technology to optimise methanisation sites. On the demonstration site, we have implemented it and succeeded in predicting the sites methanisation production, the biogas production, determining the situation of the gas cycles, but also predicting bottlenecks in the situation of the gas network, from GRDF among others, so as to be able to manage the risks of bottlenecks and to be able to compensate for flaring of the biogas, which is not at all the objective, but rather to move towards 100% recovery of the biogas. So, using AI, we collect a huge amount of data on how the site operates, but also external data on school holidays, the weather, the spot price, a huge amount of data that will enable us to feed both our algorithms and our digital twins, so as to optimise recovery, the best conditions for recovery, and to be able to withdraw from the electricity grid, because there are peak hours in winter. If we manage the gas cycles upstream, we can withdraw from the electricity grid and also help to relieve it. So it's really a gas smart grid and an electrical smart grid for 100% optimised energy management. What are the benefits of this tool and what can we expect? Well, it has many benefits concerning energy efficiency. We're going to aim for the optimum period of energy consumption and reduce it as much as possible, to reduce cumulative power, and we're going to do energy monitoring. We're going to aim for environmental efficiency, meaning that we're going to take into account all these notions of logistics and transport of materials, since it takes energy to transport materials to the methanisation site and we'll be using biological, technical and physico-chemical means to extract as much energy as possible, so as to achieve the most satisfactory environmental balance at the end of the day. And it is also a tool that makes life easier for farmers, because with just two clicks of a mouse, they can have all the administrative traceability of these indicators, the operating traceability, the traceability of inputs, which is now a very important element for the RED II and RED III regulatory changes. So all these benefits add up to enable farmers to operate and to be assisted in their choices, and to more smoothly run their facility.
